Fantastic food with very, very lovely owner. We had two pasta dishes, both of which were really tasty. Priced like all other pasta dishes in Sicily between 15-20 euros. Any time :)

Definitely not my kind of food, although my friends said they enjoyed their meals. Friendly, positive atmosphere and affable service. There was a bit of confusion with the final bill, which started at €482, went down to €387 (after reconsidering the dishes as part of the daily menu offer, as they were initially ordered) and then to €357 (when using a calculator to add it all up). We had a lot of fun otherwise. The restaurant was recommended by a local and we were lucky to get seats without prior reservation.

The restaurant has a very informal setup and is very close to the port. Mr. Maurizio is an extraordinary character and an excellent host. Get advice on the dishes of the day, you won't regret it! We had a caponata and a magnificent spaghetti with sardines. Everything was delicious, and they even offered us a taste of Malvasia to close the meal.

We ate at this restaurant based on the good online reviews and for this reason we are very satisfied. Mr. Maurizio came to take the order, sitting at the table with us (perhaps given his tiredness and age) as if he were a friend and with his kindness he advised us on what to eat. We took 2 first courses including spaghetti with clams and other spaghetti with octopus sauce and they were truly delicious. What surprised me was the truly generous quantity of portions which in other restaurants would have used half the spaghetti to cook 2 dishes. As a second course, a mixed fried fish (prawns, squid, squid rings and capon) is also truly delicious. Normal prices, friendly and polite staff, highly recommended.

We ate well at Maurizio's in the new location which is a little difficult to find for those who are not local because it is not signposted. At the beginning we were offered a taste of couscous and some crusty bread. We had appetizers and first courses which were all tasty. I had some very good potato gnocchi with seafood. But my husband's pasta with breadcrumbs and sardines was really super... very good! Expensive wine list with little choice, informal service and not very refined equipment.

Very good food. Everything fresh. The fish you eat can be observed in the refrigerator beforehand :-) the prices for the food are absolutely justified given the quality. However, €9 for a glass of wine is unfortunately a bit excessive.
Although the restaurant is close to the harbor, it is not a classic tourist trap and is highly recommended. The owner, Maurizio, speaks what feels like 10 languages and greets almost every guest personally. The service is great and very friendly :)

I would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the dishes. Perfect fried calamari, dry and crunchy. I didn't like the gnocchi with mussels and clams, dipped in oil. For the rest, positive review for the friendliness of the staff and the location.

Magical restaurant on a terrace below the volcano, which gives it an unmatched atmosphere. The one I assume to be the owner, Maurizio, welcomed us very closely, sitting with us to take our orders. He was exceptional throughout the night being attentive to how we were. Also the rest of the staff was very friendly. Spectacular food. I give it a 10 and well deserved. Highly recommended.

Overall good experience, friendly wait staff. Too bad for the gnocchi where a lot of oil, approximately a glass, was deposited on the bottom of the plate. The fried calamari was very good. Fresh fish but I would reduce the oil.

There is some inexperience in the service - on the one hand - but a lot of availability, passion and kindness, on the other: overall, I liked it.
P.S. prices a little high.
