We ate well at Maurizio's in the new location which is a little difficult to find for those who are not local because it is not signposted. At the beginning we were offered a taste of couscous and some crusty bread. We had appetizers and first courses which were all tasty. I had some very good potato gnocchi with seafood. But my husband's pasta with breadcrumbs and sardines was really super... very good! Expensive wine list with little choice, informal service and not very refined equipment.

Very good food. Everything fresh. The fish you eat can be observed in the refrigerator beforehand :-) the prices for the food are absolutely justified given the quality. However, €9 for a glass of wine is unfortunately a bit excessive.
Although the restaurant is close to the harbor, it is not a classic tourist trap and is highly recommended. The owner, Maurizio, speaks what feels like 10 languages and greets almost every guest personally. The service is great and very friendly :)

I would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the dishes. Perfect fried calamari, dry and crunchy. I didn't like the gnocchi with mussels and clams, dipped in oil. For the rest, positive review for the friendliness of the staff and the location.

Magical restaurant on a terrace below the volcano, which gives it an unmatched atmosphere. The one I assume to be the owner, Maurizio, welcomed us very closely, sitting with us to take our orders. He was exceptional throughout the night being attentive to how we were. Also the rest of the staff was very friendly. Spectacular food. I give it a 10 and well deserved. Highly recommended.

Overall good experience, friendly wait staff. Too bad for the gnocchi where a lot of oil, approximately a glass, was deposited on the bottom of the plate. The fried calamari was very good. Fresh fish but I would reduce the oil.

There is some inexperience in the service - on the one hand - but a lot of availability, passion and kindness, on the other: overall, I liked it.

This restaurant has something for everyone! Since the owner, Maurizio is a long time vegan himself we knew we were in good hands. He greeted us and our omnivore friends and after some pleasant conversation he knew just what to serve us all. We (the vegans) were served a delicious eggplant in a rich Berber sauce, black beans, and a vegan eggplant Parmesan (we love eggplant!) all of which paired beautifully with Maurizio’s wine suggestions. Our omnivore dinner companions were served delicious fresh fish entrees. For dessert we had wonderful crispy cookies dipped in sweet wine. All of us were impressed with the quality of the food and had a super fun time at this very special restaurant. We all decided that our dining experience was like going to dinner at a good friend’s house that just happens to be a great chef! Our advice is to trust Maurizio’s intuition and let him guide your dinner (and wine) choices. He’s been doing this a long time and loves his job!
