Ristorante La Brace In Cefalù

This was a lovely dining experience in Cefalù. Our party of four came on a Sunday evening with a 7:30 PM reservation we made earlier that day. We arrived and were promptly seated. Davide was incredibly gracious and helpful. One of the folks in our party is vegetarian and he helped us out with some swaps to make some dishes vegetarian. He walked us through the specials and the wine options as well as some questions we had about some menu items. The food we had was all incredibly flavorful and we enjoyed each dish. The standouts were the chicken liver, Sicilian stuffed meat rolls, rigatoni al rustico, and the spaghetti with pesto & swordfish. The rabbit also came recommended from our hotel concierge, but there were too many good options to pass up! Highly recommend coming here and worth making a reservation as it is a very popular spot with all of the locals as well!

They took great care of us, the service was super attentive. We ordered the onion soup, it came with spectacular butter. Carpaccio and a pasta. We accompany it with some beers. Perhaps compared to other places in Sicily, they were a bit pricey. But it is worth it without a doubt. Highly recommended restaurant.

What a great place! Generous portions of delicious food at amazingly reasonable prices. I recommend the coniglio which it’s quite different from the usual Ligurian style. Really good chocolate mousse also. Very nice glass of Nero D’Avola and good prosecco. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly jovial service. Best to make a reservation.

Exceptional in every way. Moderate prices that bear no relation to the excellent quality of the food and wine. Prudent service dictator who ensures a successful evening. A nice experience even with children!

Honestly, I thought these reviews were too good to be true. I tried the restaurant for the first time last night and can honestly say, the best food I’ve had in Italy (and I’ve been to MANY restaurants). I can fully understand why it is so in demand. We tried the pasta, French onion soup, meatballs and dessert - all were amazing. It has a very homely feel and a lovely atmosphere. A special mention to the staff working there, they really went out of their way to find a table for us on a busy evening and were so attentive. I will be a regular visitor every time I’m in Cefalu!

Mit gemischten Gefühlen hin und mit freudigem Gesicht nach Hause gegangen. Eines der besten Carpaccio mit Ricotta Käse gegessen, 12 €. Danach gab es jeweils Kaninchen, jeder 2 Schenkel, mit Kartoffelpüree und Kastanien und eine Sp0itzensoße, 18 € . Das Fleisch fiel vom Knochen. Leider habe ich vergessen zu fotogrfieren. Empfehlung: Regaleali zu 26 €. Es war für diese Jahreszeit sehr voll, reservieren.

We were so lucky to walk into La Brace right when it opened at 7:30! They offered us a table for a limited time which we happily accepted. The food was delicious and the wine delicious and so reasonable we were amazed! We would highly recommend! The place was buzzing and completely full when we left at 9:00 which was so nice to see in quiet off season Cefalú.
