Ristorante Il Gallo Rosso In Salò

Restaurant probably appreciated by foreign tourists. For us Italians it is no. There are no seconds. They only have mixed seafood or land starters. We were told very filling. That's not true, a (rectangular) dish that is not at all abundant, you can see it in the various photos. It only has first courses, none suitable for lactose intolerant people. They would have possibly made a risotto without butter or, listen carefully: a pasta with tomato sauce! End. Side dishes: salad and baked potatoes. Baked potatoes which exactly should I eat with what? The place looks upscale but it's not. They only have high prices suitable for tourists. Ah, yes, the appetizer is good, and God forbid. We left feeling hungry but not having the chance to get anything else. What could we have taken? Fish? No, only possibly grilled frozen prawns. No thank you. We would have also drank wine if they had put us in the air-conditioned room but... They put us at the entrance because we were the first, they obviously didn't want to dirty the room just for us. It's a shame that then, when other people arrived, they opened it: a sometimes air-conditioned room. And we're stuck behind the front door. I don't think there will be a second time.

What more can I say than what others have already said? Among all the places in Salò that we considered, we chose this one and we were perfectly satisfied with it. The quiet location and the vaulted ceiling of the alley where the tables are placed enchanted us, the possibility of choosing a trio of first courses was ideal: we chose the black ravioli, the risotto and the curry pasta. Optimal. The guy who served us was very kind. I think we'll be back.

A restaurant with very refined Italian cuisine. A family restaurant that has a heart to satisfy customers. The welcome is very warm Thus, we were able to discover extraordinary ravioli and a delicious risotto. We highly recommend this must-visit restaurant. The kindness of the staff is really appreciated.

A small restaurant in the old town of Salo. In a small vaulted staircase. There are only a few tables outside and the menu is very clear. The food, however, is delicious. Simple dishes with special combinations. No matter whether it was a starter or a main course, everything was delicious. A dessert was no longer suitable...The service was courteous and gave good advice. The wine was very good!

Romantic and evocative to dine under the arches, in the alley in front of this restaurant. Short, traditional and refined menu. Friendly and welcoming service. Interior and equipment a little old fashioned.

Locale in posizione splendida e strategica al centro di Salò. Sala in stile anni ‘90. Tovagliame “ cinese” in sintetico, bella invece la posateria Sambonet. Il pesce (siamo sul lago e scelta è fra pesce di mare o gamberi argentini…) è fresco, cotto con mestiere e normalmente buono, ma senza spunti particolari, forse - dalle recensioni - sarebbe meglio andare sui primi. Corretto per la zona il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non ci farei un viaggio apposta ma - passando per Salò - è un’ottima soluzione per cena. Cordiali ed accoglienti i titolari, ultrarapido il servizio.
