I ate with my pregnant sister and my brother-in-law...everything was really delicious!

I had lunch at this restaurant with my pregnant sister and my brother-in-law. Everything was wonderful. Two excellent appetizers and a delicious fish dish each. The potatoes were delicious. If you're coming to Ancona, it's the best place to eat.

Giardino restaurant is one of Ancona's historic and best-known establishments, a landmark I've frequented several times over the years. Its reputation is well-established, especially for its seafood, which undoubtedly remains the restaurant's true strength: well-executed, flavorful dishes that generally live up to expectations. The menu is extensive, including meat and pizza. However, the pizza is rather bland: good, but lacking the character that would make it memorable. My opinion of the meat, however, is more limited, having tried mainly the first courses and less the second courses. From a ambience and organization perspective, the restaurant stands out positively: the location is well-maintained and pleasant, the service is well-managed even at peak times, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and capable of operating efficiently even when the restaurant is full. That said, my personal experience significantly impacted my overall rating. During a Christmas lunch, I found a shard of glass inside a first course from the set menu while I was eating. The incident was immediately reported to the waiter, but was handled unprofessionally: rather than acknowledging the incident and apologizing, the waiter initially questioned the report, attributing the problem to a possible misperception. Only later was the dish remade. Beyond the incident, which can be considered an isolated case, the most significant aspect was the handling of the situation, which required greater attention, responsibility, and customer service. Overall, Il Giardino remains a solid restaurant for the quality of its seafood, ambiance, and organization, but incidents like this and their management inevitably impact the overall experience.

Best restaurant in Ancona, delicious fish

FABULOUS. We were in Ancona visiting friends and had lunch at this restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect. The restaurant is very well-maintained and the staff is friendly and professional; both the meat and fish dishes are simply amazing. The bread is also sublime. We hope to return soon.

Our hotel recommended us pizza, and we were quite pleased with the food, the staff, the ambiance, and the value for money. We also extend a special thanks because, in the absence of a taxi, the owner volunteered to take us to the hotel, even though the driver had assured us we'd find a taxi later. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has the highest level of service, excellent taste, the customers are locals with entire families:) I managed to get a free table without a reservation:) I highly recommend it!

A traditional restaurant in the center of town, characterized by an elegant atmosphere and bright dining rooms. Generous portions and high quality - fresh fish and sophisticated combinations of ingredients and flavors. The grilled amberjack and battered vegetables are recommended, and the selection of crostini, included in the cover charge, is also delicious. Very friendly staff: even though it was Sunday and we hadn't booked, they quickly set up a table. Be sure to be hungry to fully enjoy the meal.

A spacious and well-organized restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Good variety on the menu and well-prepared dishes. The service is friendly and helpful, although sometimes the wait can be a bit long. Overall, a good experience.
