Ristorante Enoteca Cangrande In Verona

We had been really looking forward to visiting Darì again, after we were there 2 years ago. Unfortunately our experience this time did not live up to the price and the experience from the last time. We got a 7 course tasting menu + an extra starter, and left hungry. 3 of the courses from desserts, which doesn't make sense? Furthermore, the service was sluggish, we sat for 30 minutes without being served, and then another 15 minutes before the wine came. Which was the wrong one, by the way. Next, there is an older woman on the premises who could not figure out how to take orders, and who shouted at the staff.

A hidden oasis close to the Verona center! We had a table outdoor in their courtyard and the atmosphere was amazing. So quiet, peaceful, and elegant. On top of that both the food, wine, and the service were excellent, some of the best we had in Verona. The only complaint would be that there was a kid sitting next to us (together with its parents) for the first hour, watching a loud kids show on a smartphone. I wish the waiters would have told them to use headphones or just not have any sound at all since the parents were ignorant about it.

We went for lunch. We had risotto, and it was good. The prices are very high. The restaurant is nice and the atmosphere is quiet. When we asked for the bill, the woman who was supposed to be the boss wasn't very friendly. She could have been more attentive than the waiters, who were very attentive and pleasant.

Incredible food and beautiful setting. Don’t want to take too much away from the experience you probably can get, I would still recommend the place, however, I must be honest. When booking I mentioned it was an anniversary dinner and asked for a bottle of Prosecco on the table on arrival, this never happened and the table wasn’t even ready for us when we arrived and we waited 10 mins to be seated. (To be fair they did offer us a table right at the entrance however that would not have been in the spirit of the evening) When seated we received only food menus no wine or drinks menu. We felt very for forgotten as we waited 35 mins for any waiter to come to us until I personally went to make the restaurant aware of the fact we were waiting. Several tables were seated and served in the meantime. When we did start getting service it was smooth and delightful however I wish the beginning hadn’t drawn down on what could have been an absolutely spectacular evening. Not the kind of experience you expect when throwing around that kind of money for food.

Sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso da questo ristorante. L'ho scelto per un pranzo in coppia, leggendo un po' le recensioni e le foto che mi hanno incuriosito. Senza dubbio la location è di forte impatto, e l'arredo delle varie sale è molto originale ed alternativo. Lo staff è disponibile, accogliente e gentile. La cucina è senza dubbio di grande qualità, ma soprattutto ben fatta e presentata. Menù vario e ottime proposte. Abbiamo preso un antipasto veramente delizioso, un risotto buono come pochi e un dessert abbondante e gustosissimo. Lo consiglierò e ci tornerò. Per fortuna la buona cucina esiste ancora!
