We found out about it through friends and...simply FANTASTIC! Clean, tidy, warm, and welcoming place. The girls serving us are FABULOUS, creating a cheerful, loving, and homey atmosphere. EXCELLENT, tasty dishes. When we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

Social restaurant: helps young people with difficulties enter the workforce. For lunch, they offer a full work menu, very generous. When they make it (Tuesday and/or Thursday), they serve a thick, well-leavened, and easily digestible pizza: 3 or 4 flavors available, so you have to be satisfied and not be too demanding. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. They are attentive to lactose intolerances. They also organize special events on certain evenings. I had lunch with the family on Saturday: the menu featured a charcuterie board: excellent!!!! They also prepared lactose-free Easter dove cakes that evening. They often organize themed dinners: Irish, Indian, Mexican, and blind dinner.

I confirm the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Trust the dynamic and friendly Fatima, who will be happy to offer the best recommendations. An undeniably evocative place in a magnificent cultural and religious setting. The opportunity to purchase their own food products is an added bonus. Overall, the prices are more than affordable.

We stumbled upon this little place by chance during a visit to Crema; first of all, an honorable mention goes to the girl with glasses who looked after us from the door until we paid, explaining the products for sale and even letting us sample them. She was incredibly kind, and her enthusiasm was clearly evident. We drank excellent coffee (at the incredible price of €1—where else can you find it?!), sampled their delicious panettone, and even enjoyed a delicious biscotti del pellegrino. In the end, it was impossible not to buy their panettone del Pellegrino... truly excellent! It's a shame we live 45 km away, otherwise we would have become regulars. Congratulations guys, keep up the good work!

"La Casa del Pellegrino" is a restaurant in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II in Crema, run by a social cooperative and located within the monumental complex of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Croce. The food is delicious, well-cooked, and authentic. Excellent service with helpful and efficient staff. Prices are fair. 1 double appetizer, 1 ravioli (pumpkin, amaretti, cocoa), 1 pasta dish with plenty of mushrooms, water, coffee for 2 = €43.

Impeccable service, very good food (I recommend the tortelli cremaschi), and a charming setting with the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Croce in the background. I sincerely thank Fatima for being with us during lunch and clarifying all our questions. Highly recommended.

I love this kind of place, which gives even super-powered guys and girls the opportunity to work. I had a focaccia with porchetta that was top-notch, both in terms of planning and filling. The caramelized onions were truly excellent. Then, tempted by the woman who ordered them, I asked for a taste of the stewed carrots, which were excellent. The location is truly first-rate, and parking is convenient. If you're passing through Crema and want to stop in for a special breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money, and the service makes the difference. The welcome was magnificent, polite and cheerful, never intrusive. Fatima and the other staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure to eat in a place where kindness is spontaneous, a quality that, unfortunately, is increasingly rare. Highly recommended.
