Ristorante Colonne In Varese

We came for a couple's dinner. The location is very beautiful, as well as the food was very good. Unfortunately, it was the service that lowered the rating so much. Before dinner I informed the waiters about my allergy to nuts. They brought us the dishes with the bread attached, and I started eating it until my companion, eating a piece, he realized that there were walnuts inside. I pretty much panicked, afraid that I'd eaten it too. I reported this to the waitress who replied that she had accidentally forgotten to bring me bread separately for me. I understand the possible distraction, but I believe that attention to a customer's allergies is fundamental. Fortunately that evening I bit into the bread without nuts, among other breads with and without, but mistakes like this can really end up someone in an ambulance, I'm grateful that it didn't happen to me that evening. In addition to this, we found the cost of the service (5 euros) and a small barley coffee (4 euros) excessive. Really a shame.

It is a steep ride to this lovely quaint hotel and restaurant but so worth it, both for the view and for the exquisite cuisine. We just wanted a quiet place after travelling to Varese, but we were blown away by the views. Highly recommended. Be careful about the parking spots, you need to find one and make sure that you will not be fined by the police.

Non avevamo dubbi che uscivamo da questo ristorante pienamente soddisfatti,sapori unici ,abbinamenti del cibo che fanno esplodere le papille gustative,poi c’è la location molto intima con un bel panorama se fosse stata una bella giornata,praticamente sembrava autunno.Ringraziamo lo chef e tutto lo staff che hanno reso emozionante la nostra cena.Sicuramente torneremo a trovarvi….un saluto da Luca e Cristina.

A wonderful experience, everything good, original, tasty, very nice chef Sivio. Try it. if I really have to find something to improve, I would say the chocolate mousse, after a perfect dinner, the expectations were so high that the dessert struggled to reach them.

Very nice, small, remote hotel. Rooms and ambience are a dream. We ate very, very well in the associated restaurant for little money.

They put us in the room, in front of the window. 2 seater table with a wonderful view. Excellent vegetarian lasagnette and a bottle served in a bucket. We entered with 2 small dogs without problems. Very kind service. The finishes are moderately elegant.

This review is for the restaurant. We had a great lunch there last week. The view was impeccable. The indoor dinning room was tastefully decorated. Food was very well prepared and presented. Good wine list to choose from. It has its own parking area. Highly recommended.
