I went for lunch at this charming restaurant in the Reggio Emilia countryside. The location is charming and unique; we ate indoors, but in the warmer months, there's also the option of enjoying a splendid outdoor seating area. The food reflects local traditions and is of excellent quality; whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed. The service is courteous and prompt, and you'll also receive impeccable wine recommendations (including local and niche options). You can also purchase local products to take home. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I visited Ristorante Badessa with my partner, and the experience was truly excellent in every way.
From the moment you arrive, you immediately notice the attention to detail: the location is simply incredible, nestled in a unique setting that combines elegance and tradition, immersed in the tranquility of the Emilian countryside. A refined yet warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff was kind, helpful, and always attentive, making us feel at ease throughout the meal without ever being intrusive.
The real highlight, however, is the food: excellent, authentic, and clearly homemade dishes, with great attention to the quality of the ingredients and local traditions. You can truly taste the care and passion in every course.
We also really appreciated the opportunity to purchase some of their products: a truly interesting selection, allowing you to take home a piece of the experience.
In conclusion, a restaurant I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for authentic cuisine, quality, and a special atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Back at Badessa after about six months, two of us, for a midweek lunch, the culmination of a trip out of town for us Piacenza natives. Alberto welcomes us with his usual enthusiasm and contagious passion for raw materials and Lambrusco. Our selection ranges from a wide array of cured meats, with special yeast-free fried gnocchi and, of course, sheep's ham, to Badessa Riserva cappelletti and half a pacchero made from Reggiano wheat (splendid drawing, an excellent base of rabbit ragù, and a touching garnish of crispy sweet and sour shallots), to braised cheeks and spiced pork ribs (even now, a day later, I miss that moment). The grand finale is Badessa ice cream, when simplicity is everything!
We are very demanding people, attentive to the raw materials and their preparation in the kitchen, committed to passion and the pursuit of a modern cuisine rooted in tradition. At Badessa, we found all this, elements that are increasingly rare in Italy and therefore worthy of preservation. Well done, folks, keep up the good work and don't be discouraged by the masses who, unfortunately, often demand things without understanding.

The restaurant is meticulously maintained and very welcoming.
Excellent service with attentive and friendly staff.
The dishes are well-presented, featuring selected local ingredients and some excellent reinterpretations of local specialties.
The wine list is also excellent, well-selected and enriched by interesting suggestions from host Alberto, a sommelier and a true wine enthusiast.
