A truly beautiful place, housed in a former dairy that still retains its authentic charm. The staff is attentive, kind and knowledgeable: we greatly appreciated the attention dedicated to the description of the wines and the splendid selection they offer. The dishes are really good, you can perceive the care taken in the choice of products and the quality of the ingredients. The passito they produce is a real gem, while the Badessa ice cream is simply unmissable. I can't wait to return!

Leave with the desire to return. The cuisine combines tradition and innovation in an impeccable and essential way. Everything was delicious, we took advice on the wine and asked for local products: a winning choice, we drank very good wine, especially an unforgettable passito produced by the sommelier... truly exceptional. We will be back soon, we have to try everything on the menu. The friendly and welcoming staff, all very approachable. The place is nice and very clean, there aren't too many tables in the rooms so it's nice and quiet. Well done everyone

At the Badessa restaurant I spent a wonderful evening, eating Reggio Emilia cuisine in an elegant environment inspired by tradition in every aspect. I can't say anything else about the food except that it's superlative, it's no coincidence that their refinement of the raw material makes the difference compared to many other restaurants that can offer the same thing, but without this very authentic flavour. The location is extremely well looked after, combining tradition and elegance as regards the furnishings and the table setting, all then completed by the always attentive and courteous staff. To conclude this review, from personal experience on the matter, I would add among the excellent services offered by Badessa also a practical roadside assistance for light repairs on cars: in my case a punctured tire was immediately replaced with timely support from the super courteous and friendly restaurant staff (despite the fact that it was now outside working hours) In summary, hoping that you don't have to end up in front of the restaurant due to various technical problems, I highly recommend going and trying this restaurant to eat very well in a wonderful and classy environment. We went here to celebrate a birthday for two. The place is beautiful with romantic and intimate atmosphere. Compliments to the chef's imagination. The portions are really small. I found their dessert - rice cake or rice porridge - rather strange. The price for the wine very high. The table service was friendly and polite.

Definitely a disproportionate price for modest dishes and portions bordering on sufficiency. Exaggerated wine prices. The location is beautiful and the service is good but all things considered it doesn't reach the mark.

Exceptional quality! The wines are a great selection of local wines that are hard to find even in the enoteche in town. We had a berzmein that I have struggled to find in other shops that went beautifully with the food. The atmosphere and interior are great as well. One of the best places to eat in Reggio.

Locale immerso nel "nulla" delle campagne in un ex caseificio..ambiente bellissimo in cui si respira un'atmosfera magica. Il personale cortese e alla mano, senza essere mai invadente per tutta la durata del servizio. Quest'ultimo è stato preciso e curato. Menù in cui si percepisce con chiarezza la volontà di portare avanti la tradizione culinaria locale, pur cercando di rinnovare (nel gusto e nell'impiattamento). Abbiamo mangiato: tris di baccalà, cappelletti riserva in brodo, passatelli "in secca" con ragù di Barzigola, lepre cacciata con polpettina fritta di quinto quarto e patate arrosto, sorbetto al naturale di mela senvito con meringhe, gelato con caramello salato e aceto balsamico (39 mesi!). Non è scontato concludere il pasto con dei dolci così buoni e accurati (nel gusto e nella presentazione). Abbiamo assaggiato anche un calice del vino prodotto dal proprietario Roberto..un orange squisito e il nocino, tipico di queste zone. Ho apprezzato molto anche la descrizione che viene fatta, all'interno del menù, riguardo alla storicità del locale e alle materie prime utilizzate (cercando materie prime genuine a km0 che vengono utilizzate nella loro totalità riducendo sprechi e descrivendo le varie erbe coltivate nell'orto). Il conto in linea con la tipologia di cucina offerta e del servizio: €120. È stato piacevole poter chiacchierare anche con il proprietario in merito all'idea di cucina che c'è dietro al locale..abbiamo percepito la grande passione con cui viene gestito il ristorante! Esperienza fantastica!

16/04/2025: Restaurant with excellent cuisine based on typical mountain dishes but well prepared. Honorable mention for the fried mushrooms, polenta and crostini with mushrooms. Good first courses although I preferred the appetizers. Very friendly and helpful staff, fair prices for the quality of the products. Small internal room so to take into consideration when choosing. To be booked in advance. Only note about kitchen odors that remain on clothes due to the not too large spaces.
