Dinner with family to celebrate a birthday. Reserved room. Agreed menu that everyone liked with entree and starter, first and second courses. Final with desserts. Ricotta gnocchi were the most popular. Service from young staff who can improve to manage noisy groups like ours.

I return to this restaurant for the umpteenth time after 2 years since the last time.
In a restaurant world where we try to remove, lower quality, raise prices, give the customer a product that you don't even know where it comes from, etc... here you find the complete opposite.
Excellent quality, local products, 0 km products too, honest prices for the quality of everything.
An owner who is the soul of the place. You would never stop listening to his notions, his knowledge.
A place where you can eat tradition, but in a slightly more revisited, more elegant way.
In short, one of those places that have something extra.
Excellent cheese selections accompanied by mustard, honey, balsamic vinegar all produced a few km from there, or even by the owner himself.
The dishes are all well-studied, perhaps not too sumptuous, but which make you say wow upon tasting them.
Fearsome gardener according to grandmother's tradition.
Exceptional wines, you will not find the big name, or the classic wine that you find in all the other restaurants. Here you will find niche excellences that warm the heart and the palate.

Starter with excellent cold cuts, dumpling a little too greasy and overcooked
First courses: - cappellettoni no, sauce no
- cappelletti in brine, absurdly salty
Second; -Indian style ribs which without sauce would have been excellent
- pickled potatoes, again due to the salt fetish
Difficult choice of wine... wide selection of wines from small organic wineries or other strange stuff, we would have appreciated a classic one more
The price is in line with starred restaurants ... So you pay a lot and then drink a lot of water after dinner (read the notes on salt)

Antipasto particolare di zucchine da leccarsi i baffi, abbiamo fatto la scarpetta…

refined dishes with quality ingredients of excellent taste.....welcoming and professional service...you can perceive the commitment, the research in offering original and excellent quality recipes...decomposed herbazzone, gnocco and cured meats, paccheri and green tagliatelle, trifle and torn tagliatelle cake... all excellent..

If I could, I would have given 10000 stars for all the points! Typical dishes of the local tradition, sometimes revisited in an impeccable and never banal way. Wine list well above average, with a selection of atypical and refined drinks. Extremely polite and kind staff and I would even say friendly. The two owners are a force of nature: in just a few years they have created a place that is now well known even outside the region, having renovated an ancient toll booth making it unique and having created a solid group of dining room and kitchen clerks. I've been frequenting this place for work breaks since 2019, and every time I can't wait to come back and visit! I'm posting photos of my dinner at the end of May 2024, entirely based on truffles! Not to be missed!
