A restaurant in the heart of Viareggio, with a predominantly meat-based menu, although there's a small selection of fish. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a wide selection of wines displayed on the walls and an open kitchen. We dined in the cellar for a birthday party and it was a wonderful experience. We started with a selection of excellent appetizers, then continued with the highlight, a delicious Chianina steak and melt-in-the-mouth pork ribs cooked in beer. The wine list is excellent, with a focus on Tuscan wines, and we were able to choose from a variety of labels. Everything was perfect, and the price was perfectly in line with what we ate and drank. Highly recommended.

We were lucky to get a table for dinner on our last night in town. The food was very well cooked, well presented, delicious and with the outstanding service and great atmosphere, we would highly recommend a visit. If steak is your thing, Amaro Braciera is your place.

I had dinner here last night because I'd seen very good reviews. It was almost 9 p.m. and it was packed. Since I hadn't made a reservation, I had to dine on the terrace to avoid waiting too long. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service attentive and friendly. The food was very good. I was offered a complimentary starter. The price was in line with the quality. 100% recommended.

The best Florentine steak I've ever eaten.
I stopped in Viareggio after visiting Naples and reading everywhere "see Naples and then..."
I'm glad I survived, because that steak was worthy of the end of the world!!

When you think of Viareggio, it's natural to imagine a seafood dinner overlooking the sea. Instead, at Ristorante Amaro I discovered a surprising experience: here, the true star is the highest-quality meat, cooked and served with rare care.
Owner Daniele conveys all his passion and expertise: he knows how to guide you through the finest cuts, perfectly aged and cooked, pairing them with an extraordinary wine cellar that enhances every dish.
I chose a medium-rare Black Angus steak: at first glance, I was afraid it might be a bit overcooked, but the taste was a revelation—tender, juicy, with a rich, enveloping flavor. Next, the Argentine asado: ribs reminiscent of our rosticciana but with a truly unique tenderness and roundness of flavor. Every bite was a little journey of pleasure.
The service deserves special mention: the waitress Mirella welcomed us with professionalism and a smile that made the evening even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere is warm and refined, both inside and out, with details that reflect a passion for good food and wine.
Amaro is more than just a restaurant; it's a true discovery in Viareggio. A place that combines hospitality, gastronomic excellence, and a perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable experience.

We went to Amaro Braceria motivated by the great reviews on Google Maps and the restaurant's beautiful presentation. We tried to go without a reservation, but the place was always full—which reinforced our expectations. We managed to reserve a table for two only on Sunday, and requested an outdoor seating area, since it was summer and we wanted to enjoy the outdoors.
Upon arrival, we were informed that we couldn't sit outside. We were offered a table by the window, but another server soon told us that it wouldn't be possible to sit there either, and we ended up at an indoor table with no view—which was already starting to feel strange.
The service from our waitress, however, was excellent: friendly and helpful from start to finish. We ordered a bottle of white wine, which was good. As a starter, I ordered beef carpaccio with truffles—which was just right. For my main course, I chose a steak with truffles and cream cheese sauce. Unfortunately, the meat was inedible: with a huge nerve in the middle, and the presentation was marred by an excessive amount of grated truffles, which looked unappetizing. Only the sauce was good. I showed it to the waitress, who was very understanding and discounted the price of the dish, since I couldn't eat it.
My husband ordered the tuna, which was also unappealing—flavorless and lacking in any special features.
Although the restaurant's ambiance is beautiful and well-decorated, our experience doesn't match the high reviews we've seen. The dishes didn't deliver what they promise, and the prices are quite high for the quality offered. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

Het was hier zo leuk, aangenaam, lekker dat we er 2 maal op 3 dagen zijn komen eten. Heel vriendelijke bediening, leuk buitenterrasje, een heel gevarieerde kaart met tal van specialiteiten. Een aanrader.

Seconda volta in questo ristorante che si conferma essere davvero un gran bel posto!Ottimo l’ asado argentino. Piatti ben fatti con materie prime di qualità e ben presentati. E’ ormai nella lista dei nostri ristoranti dove andiamo ogni volta che torniamo a Viareggio.
