What a gem this place is! We stayed in the main building and our room was incredible with great views. Breakfast was perfect and you could even go for hikes around the vineyard for a nice stroll. When we arrived, the restaurant was all booked up and we were hungry, but they let us get take away from the restaurant and even eat it by ourselves on the patio outside the restaurant while we ordered wine. Service was above and beyond!
It’s about a 15 minute ride from the train station or Orvieto and if you don’t have a car, taxis are scarce. Best to ask the hotel to get you a cab if you arrive by train.

Altarocca Wine Resort is a beautiful, secluded and peaceful place, ideal for relaxation and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant and bar, and the price-quality ratio is very good. I was pleasantly surprised when I asked for a dish that was not on the menu and got it.
I recommend the resort for its beauty and tranquility.

An enchanting place in the Umbrian hills. Perfect rooms, meticulously maintained. A stunning pool overlooking the landscape. A kiosk stocked with food and drinks.
The added bonus is the breakfast: I've never seen such a wide selection of sweet and savory items, salmon, eggs, cheeses, breads, cakes, muffins, pancakes, pastries, yogurt, granola, and both fresh and dried fruit. The breakfast room also offers a special view. Excellent, friendly, and cheerful staff. Everything is simply perfect!
