Delightful accommodation. The hotel is located 15 minutes from the city and has a beautiful view. I stayed there in the winter, and at that time it's not possible to enjoy the outdoor spaces because of the cold and rain, but it must be spectacular in the spring and summer. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very kind. The restaurant is a show in itself and worth it! The wines are delicious!

What a gem this place is! We stayed in the main building and our room was incredible with great views. Breakfast was perfect and you could even go for hikes around the vineyard for a nice stroll. When we arrived, the restaurant was all booked up and we were hungry, but they let us get take away from the restaurant and even eat it by ourselves on the patio outside the restaurant while we ordered wine. Service was above and beyond! It’s about a 15 minute ride from the train station or Orvieto and if you don’t have a car, taxis are scarce. Best to ask the hotel to get you a cab if you arrive by train. We loved the Altarocca!

Altarocca Wine Resort is a beautiful, secluded and peaceful place, ideal for relaxation and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant and bar, and the price-quality ratio is very good. I was pleasantly surprised when I asked for a dish that was not on the menu and got it. I recommend the resort for its beauty and tranquility.
