Piazza Palmieri In Monopoli

Ottima accoglienza da parte del sig. Gianluca (credo fosse il maitre di sala), che però è poi letteralmente sparito dalla circolazione per tutta la durata della cena. Evidentemente era impegnato ad accogliere i clienti degli altri tavoli; questo aspetto direi che può essere migliorato: tra l'essere onnipresente e lo sparire completamente, magari può essere trovata una via di mezzo. Inoltre, sarebbe auspicabile che non fumasse nelle pause dal servizio. In generale è ampiamente migliorabile anche il servizio, tanto attento nella cura nei dettagli e nel fornire spiegazioni sui vini e sui piatti, ma molto poco attento nel togliere i piatti vuoti e sporchi che, tra una portata e l'altra, sono restati sul tavolo per 18 minuti (cronometrati). Sulla qualità dei piatti e sul rapporto con il prezzo, direi che non c'è nulla di cui discutere: Tonno croccante (17 €) diviso come antipasto Trancio di pesce spada (18€) Filetto di rombo (18€) Cheesecake Ricotta (6€) Tornero? Si, sicuramente.

Ultima domenica del 2024, andiamo a visitare Monopoli. Dopo averla camminata quasi tutta sopraggiunge l'ora di pranzo. Siamo in Piazza Palmieri dove nel celebre palazzo si sono girate le puntate della fiction Lolita Lobosco. Nella piazza c'è anche l'omonimo ristorante. Locale ben curato, col maitre che consiglia piatti del giorno fuori menù e chiede se ci sono intolleranze alimentari a noi commensali. Portate non enormi ma tutto squisito.

The restaurant is located in the heart of the old city. The entrance is discreet. The cellar visible through the transparent floor immediately after the entrance is impressive. Even inside, discretion prevails: the music is soft, barely audible, the waiters speak thoughtfully, the customers tacitly respect this pact of elegant discretion. You can order from the menu or follow the waiter's recommendations. I found everything I ate to be of impeccable quality. The flavors of the dishes were particularly intense, as I have rarely seen. Personally I have eaten in many hundreds of restaurants... The second course was more expensive - I opted for the waiter's proposal - but I don't regret it, the fish and the way it was served were worth it. Even though I don't often order desserts, this time I tried a lemon sorbet. Soft and tasty. Appreciation that comes, I repeat, from a person who is not a fan of this type of dessert nor necessarily of dessert in general. Ultimately, if you happen to be in Monopoli, it's a shame not to try the offerings of this excellent restaurant.

New Year's Eve dinner, so I can't evaluate the whole thing, but we had a great time with very attentive staff.

Fantastic food and experience at Ristorante Piazza Palmieri. Staff were very professional and helpful with their suggestions. Including wine selection.

Nice restaurant with good food that you can enjoy in the sun

One of the most beautiful restaurant settings I've ever seen, such a beautiful square! And the chef's seafood starter platter was incredible. Our server suggested that we eat it in a certain order, and it was utterly delightful. Then I ordered the Paccheri Pasta of Regina Dei Sibillini Flour with Sauce of Lobster. It arrived and looked rather plain, but it turned out to be one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in my 53 years. So delicious, delicate, and perfect in both taste and texture. If you like seafood, you must visit this wonderful ristorante. It was a highlight of our 3 weeks in Italy!

The fish dishes are very good, the location is beautiful, the staff are very kind and knowledgeable...but insufficient compared to the number of customers...

The location is the most amazing thing this place has to offer. See photos. Lunch al fresco is perfect here. We ordered appetizers. Very fresh, very demure. Claudio, our server, went the extra mile. Service was great except for one of the servers. Would be lovely if they had brunch offerings.

We had a lovely dinner here. My aunt wanted to try risotto and eventhough it wasn’t on the menu, they were very kind to prepare this for her. Excellent service and friendly staff.
