Pescandalo In Trani

The service is excellent to say the least, the staff is really attentive, competent and present without being intrusive, Pasquale, the owner, knows how to put every guest at ease, inside the place I wouldn't say it's small, rather intimate, there's also the possibility of sitting on a bench, which is also very elegant, modern and informal, sitting with other customers, let's say like a sushi bar, in summer however you can sit outside in a small square of the magnificent Trani, in a pedestrian area, under a magnificent bougainvillea. Unquestionably divine food, the must of this restaurant are its carpaccio, expertly combined with a few but indispensable ingredients, the first courses are all worth trying... Considering the quality, the bill is not expensive at all... I've been there several times but in my opinion pescandalo is the best in Trani, even when compared with renowned restaurants.

Very fresh fish..... exceptional service. Really honest price. Ordered without a menu in front and was recommended a mixed raw fish starter. Two first courses....2 coffees...a bottle of wine... Price €175 and discounted to €160 not knowing us and not ripping us off since we couldn't know the prices. 100% recommended

Restaurant recommended by a colleague from Trani. I will thank him. Ate very very well. Serra's raw meats and carpaccio are excellent. First course: garlic, oil and chilli pepper with the fabulous pink prawn. They were also very courteous to our little daughter to whom they offered a nice plate of orecchiette with sauce. Really great service.

Excellent fish dinner in Trani. They offered us fresh fish carpaccio and cooked appetizers, all very good. Next we opted for two first courses. Quick and friendly service.

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent staff, incredible food. Honestly telling you in words how creative and satisfying the cuisine of this restaurant is is difficult... Pasquale and his staff gave us a unique experience. We will return to TRANI for the PESCANDALO. It's a scandal of goodness!!! Highly recommended!

Arrivati per un pranzo a due e ordinato iniziando con antipasto di polpo su crema di patate (sarò di parte ma eccellente veramente) passati al primo di cavatelli al basilico molto buoni di ottima fattura. I dolci strepitosi!! Servizio all'altezza con la dovuta riservatezza apprezzato da entrambi i commensali, conto che rispecchia i prodotti di qualità. Consiglio vivamente.

Booked for dinner on the strength of the reviews, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. We had been expecting a very relaxed and enjoyable fish fining-dining evening, that rolled out for a few ours. Instead the entire experienced was very rushed. Despite our best efforts to slow the service down to a more relaxed pace, we had finished 3 courses, including the mixed seafood started, in under 50 minutes. It would be wrong to say the food wasn't good, but literally as you were putting the last forkful of any course in your mouth the dish was snatched away. At all stages there were 1-2 members of staff actually circling the table, trying to lift empty dishes and delivering new plates, before you were close to finishing what was in front of you. I would not return
