We visited in mid-March, on a Sunday for lunch in the enchanting San Miniato. The restaurant is beautiful and bright, with large windows overlooking the splendid valley. The wait staff is fabulous, attentive to every need, always kind and professional. It's really hard to express anything about the dishes because they were all so good, with well-defined yet delicate flavors that combined to create a symphony that is hard to forget.
High-quality, seasonal ingredients that showcase the local produce. We tried the land tasting, and our 13-year-old daughter was won over by the bottega with dried tomatoes and guinea fowl, duck, and rabbit ragù. Finally, the chef, a wonderful person with kindness in his eyes, was a pleasure to thank for the wonderful lunch. I recommend going, even more than once, to explore the various menus.
It's a place that exudes simple, elegant cordiality.

I had higher expectations, good food but not very good... too delicate... delicate is fine but the flavors must be felt and recognized... good lunch but not to be repeated... shame

Solid experience, a cuisine that demonstrates technical expertise and clear direction in pairings. It's not improvised, it's planned.
The tasting menu builds a balanced progression, with a sequence of wines that accompany each course with sensorial logic. And this, trust me, is not trivial.
The Ventoso di Piazzano has body and spiciness consistent with the pork ragù marinated in juniper, thyme, and coriander. The aromatic harmony is evident, and the dish holds together beautifully.
The green tagliolini with black cabbage, ossobuco, and pioppini mushrooms are structured and deep. The ossobuco is rich, enveloping, and technically well-executed.
Here, however, I make a constructive note: I would have appreciated a light contrasting acidity. Even just a freshly grated lemon zest would have given the dish a vertical leap, lightening the fatty component and amplifying the aromatic perception. It would have been a small spark of freshness capable of further enhancing the complexity of the ragù.
Let me be clear: this isn't a flaw. It's my subjective bias! 😅
The cheek is tender, cooked with precision, and melts in the mouth. The sweet potato cream and sweet and sour vegetables create the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.
Again, a small observation: I would have liked a shinier glaze on the meat. A slightly brighter glaze would have emphasized the visual and flavorful succulence, adding that sensation of depth and enveloping texture that makes a braised dish memorable, even to the eye.
The Chianti Classico supports the structure well and cleanses the palate with its lively acidity. A perfect choice.
A solid, coherent, and technically well-orchestrated tasting experience! Well done! 👏 10-star service

I planned a stop during a business trip, both for lunch and dinner, and I appreciated the quality and selection of dishes on the menu. The dishes are sophisticated and flavorful, and I highly recommend it. The view from the internal terrace is spectacular.

Nice atmosphere with a beautiful view. The service was very friendly and accommodated our requests. We had the tasting menu, which was very good. The price didn't include drinks or service charge. Unfortunately, there was a birthday party, so it was quite noisy, but that's okay...

A pleasant discovery in the Piazza del Duomo in San Miniato. The service is excellent, combining courtesy with savoir faire. The egg with potato cream, pecorino cheese, and truffle was excellent, as was the creamed cod. It's worth noting that I also found the coffee to be good (often, even in high-end restaurants, I've been served disgustingly sloppy broth). The restrooms are very clean.

We chose the fish menu with matching wines, a culinary poem, one dish after another. Thanks to those in the kitchen who gave us this tasty journey of taste! A round of applause to the very knowledgeable and kind staff in the dining room.

I went for dinner yesterday for the first time, having heard so much about it. Indeed, my expectations were exceeded. The location was beautiful and welcoming. The service impeccable. Roberto was wonderful. The presentation and food were excellent. I chose the fish menu with matching wines. My only complaint about the pairings was that some were perfect, others less so. They served me a chocolate dessert because I'm lactose intolerant, and for me, the only thing that goes with chocolate is Barolo Chinato. I couldn't find another pairing. I expected it from a restaurant of this caliber. Other than that, nothing more to say. See you soon.

High-quality restaurant in a beautiful location in Piazza del Duomo, next to the Tower of Frederick II, with a view of much of the lower Valdagno from the restaurant windows. Classic/modern cuisine, truffles in season.
