Honestly, we had booked at another restaurant, but due to our delay, our table was given to someone else. Fair enough, no fuss, in fact, thank you! We discovered this place, seemingly anonymous from abroad but welcoming, intimate, and elegant inside, specifically in the courtyard. Indeed, upon entering, we find a hallway with the cash register, the restrooms (clean and tidy), the kitchen, and then the restaurant area with a beautiful, well-kept, and quiet internal courtyard. The dishes are well-presented and flavorful. Excellent wine selection. Coffee in the Moka pot at the table. Attentive service. Prices in line with the aforementioned setting. Recommended.

The best restaurant in Sarzana, without a doubt. The location is very pleasant, with the added bonus of dining in a lovely garden. All the staff are very welcoming, and customers are well looked after. In addition to the well-designed menu, this restaurant strives to ensure customers receive only the highest quality, freshest ingredients. For this reason, the prices are completely in line with the offerings. Ottone I was a truly wonderful discovery. Kudos to the entire staff, keep up the good work!

Everything was perfect, fabulous food and impeccable service. I would remove the mosquito coils and the people smoking standing at the bottom of the garden because they take away the magic of the aromas of the delicious dishes served here.

We came back after a lovely first experience, hoping for another great meal—but unfortunately, this time was a letdown. Things started off okay, but there was a mistake with our primi course. We politely asked for what we had originally ordered, and while it was eventually brought out, the dish wasn’t prepared well—it just didn’t taste right.
To make matters worse, the service felt cold. The corrected dish was brought out with no smile or acknowledgment, and overall we felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcome guests. It’s a shame, because we had high hopes based on our first visit, but this experience really changed our impression.

Two nights ago I went to this restaurant with my family, I had been wanting to do it for a long time, but the last year has not been a peaceful period and I have always put it off.
Everyone I have met since I have a house in Sarzana told me that Ottone I was the best restaurant in the area.
I am not a customer who gives discounts to restaurateurs, one thing particularly bothers me, good raw materials cooked badly.
At Ottone, this did not happen, Lucia and Remo take extreme care in choosing the ingredients and in their dishes they bring out the quality.
For starters I was served a slice of tuna, with onions and a generous sprinkling of truffle, to follow I ordered shellfish on a julienne of vegetables, my wife chose the white cod with coppery onions, to finish two desserts, I really appreciated the babà with cream and strawberries, not too soaked in rum, which would have covered the flavors.
I did not fail to spy on the plates of the next table, who opted for a spaghetti with shellfish, not contaminated, as often happens, by tomato to leave the flavor of the fish sauce intact.
Ultimately, satisfied with the kitchen and the managers.

Due sere fa sono andato con la mia famiglia in questo ristorante, era da tempo che volevo fare, ma l’ultimo anno non è stato un periodo tranquillo ed ho sempre rimandato.
Tutte le persone che ho conosciuto da quando ho casa a Sarzana mi indicavano Ottone I come il miglior ristorante del posto.
Io non sono un cliente che fa sconti ai ristoratori, una cosa mi da particolarmente fastidio, della buona materia prima cucinata male.
Da Ottone, questo non è successo, Letizia e Remo hanno un’estrema cura nella scelta degli ingredienti e nei loro piatti fanno risaltare la qualità.
Per antipasto mi è stata servita una tagliata di tonno, con cipolle e una generosa spolverata di tartufo, a seguire ho ordinato crostacei su una julienne di verdure, mia moglie ha scelto il bianco di baccalà con cipolle ramate, a finire due dessert, ho apprezzato molto il babà con crema e fragole, non troppo inzuppato di rum, che avrebbe coperto i sapori.
Non ho mancato di spiare nei piatti del tavolo vicino, che hanno optato per una spaghetto ai crostacei, non contaminato, come spesso capita, dal pomodoro per lasciare intatto il sapore del sughetto del pesce.
In definitiva, soddisfatto dalla cucina e dai gestori.
