Osteria Vecchio Cancello In Firenze

Gorgeous Bistecca experience and very cozy and warm place. Bistecca is really top in town, steak itself i like this more than the one I had which is in list of 101. Manager and all stuffs very warm and friendly. Particularly, Farbi is the star of the restaurant, she is so helpful and professional on choosing steak, pairing wine. The Bistecca she recommended was perfect and wine she picked was perfectly paired with steak. We went back for a lunch right before we heading to airport. Thanks Farbi and all for two great dining experiences.

Amazing food and service and as we paid our bill, the owner kindly gave us a complimentary bottle of gorgeous red wine Giglio D'oro from the family's own vineyard to take back to the UK to enjoy, which was greatly appreciated and will bring back happy memories of a really lovely meal and our last night in Florence. Thank you.

We went there for dinner. The place was very welcoming and comfortable, with unique decor and atmospheric lighting and background music. The food was good, above average. The prices were a bit high, but it was worth it.

Real Tuscan Osteria. Very nice pasta with wild boar ragù and wine selection.

Best restaurant in Florence, incredibly delicious everything you order

On our last day in Florence, we dined at Osteria Vecchio Cancello for dinner- we tried to go here for dinner a few years ago when traveling through the area, but couldn't make it due to a travel delay, so we are happy we could come back this time. We made a dinner reservation in advance, and arrived a few minutes before our dining time and were seated immediately. The restaurant staff greeted us warmly and the dining room is really beautiful and really nicely decorated and is very comfortable. We ordered a bottle of wine to start, and had complimentary bread to accompany it. We went in and ordered a salad to start, followed by the duck pasta, and the Florentine steak. The minimum was 1.3 kg for the steak when we were there, which was plenty big and they also bring the steak to the table on the scale to ensure the weight of the meat is ok before they start cooking. All food and service were absolutely amazing and a great meal while we were in Florence!

Un dignitoso ristorante del centro. Prevalentemente frequentato da turisti, da quello che ho visto. Personale gentile. Prezzi un po’ alti.

Cibo squisito … rapporto qualità prezzo :ottimo ..Posto e personale molto accogliente .. Ci tornerei volentieri ……..
