Osteria Pantelleria ai Cavalieri di Malta – A corner of taste in the heart of Palermo In the historic center of Palermo, behind the church of San Domenico and near the Conservatory, we discovered this small, intimate and welcoming osteria. Upon arrival the place seemed closed, but they welcomed us kindly and let us choose the table we preferred. The starters struck us with their originality: fried cod with honey and bruschetta with stracciatella, anchovies and caramelized apples, a curious and successful combination. As a first course, braised ravioli with speck and walnuts (even if on the menu they were indicated with figs, not present in the dish). The desserts were a pleasant surprise: almond parfait with dark chocolate pouring, citrus heart cake and chocolate cake with raisins, served with vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate flakes. The owner, who personally takes care of everything, was exquisite: kind, passionate, thoughtful. The wait may seem long, but it is the price of craftsmanship and customer attention. Prices a little above average, but justified by the quality and experience. Thanks to TheFork discount, we felt more than satisfied.
