Amazing restaurant- beautiful setting and a terrace with outstanding views. We were given a perfect table. Food is wonderful - on the posher side of the food we've eaten in Italy ie before ordering you're given an amuse-bouche, with twig-like grissini and a test tube of what seemed like flavoured tonic water! Rest of meal was amazing - steak was a standout as well as the Aubergine parmigiana. We were served by Sarah - English was great, went through the entire menu with us and was generally so helpful and friendly and therefore made the experience a very relaxed affair.

Simply excellent. We went with friends for lunch after they highly recommended it. The road to get there is quite winding and has very tight turns that can be difficult to negotiate with particularly large cars, but it's still doable. It's a very quaint place, inside an old building. The tables are well-spaced; you don't sit crowded together. The food is exquisite. We tried all the appetizers, and each one was more delicious than the last, as were the first courses. The meats were incredibly tender and flavorful. We also had desserts, and—what can I say?—they were delicious too. We ate a truly generous amount and were quite full, but we didn't feel the typical post-binge heaviness, a testament to the high quality of the cuisine and raw materials. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. The price, considering the quality of the food, is more than fair. We spent €60 each (mixed appetizers, first course, second course, dessert, water, wine, and coffee) but we ate like kings. Even though we live over a three-hour drive away, we promised ourselves we'd return. I can say it's easily in the top three restaurants where I've eaten best in my life, surpassing Michelin-starred restaurants. What can I say? I can't recommend it enough.

A beautiful restaurant in the idyllic village of Castello di Lago. The fact that the restaurant was part of the castle adds a unique atmosphere and experience to your visit. The food is of excellent quality and surprising, with a definite local touch. We were fortunate enough to meet Sarah, who works there, and she gave us a wonderful experience and warm welcome. If you're lucky enough to be able to sit on the terrace during dinner, you'll have a magnificent view of the region and the surrounding villages. Highly recommended.

For our 10th wedding anniversary, they recommended this place to us, which we hadn't heard of. What a delightful discovery! Chiara was incredibly sweet and kind, along with all the staff. The venue was wonderful and very unique; they recommended a selection of appetizers, all exceptional and of incredible quality, delicious first courses, and an excellent selection of wines. We'll definitely be back to try the second courses and desserts, as we didn't get a chance tonight! Highly recommended!

Siamo tornati, a distanza di un paio d’anni. Locale in una struttura medievale incantevole. Piccole sale a diversi livelli, si respira un aria di antico. Cucina sempre superba e una gentilezza inaspettata.

Non c’è insegna, non esiste indicazione; al culmine di una salita stretta, con poco parcheggio, bisogna proprio voler venire qui. E in effetti bisogna andarci. Perché poi vi si apre un mondo fatato fatto da tante stanzette inserite nel contesto di una sorta di castello medioevale dove vi delizierete di cibi e vini entusiasmanti. L’atmosfera che si vive venendo qui di sera in inverno è impagabile. Il tartufo la fa da padrone (profumatissimo) ma non solo. Bellissimo posto che mi sono segnato tra i preferiti. Costo senza vino sui 30€/1.
