In a carefully renovated old mill, you'll discover, to your surprise and wonder, a classy restaurant nestled in the hills of Pietrasanta, right next to the stream that once powered the mill. The attention to detail is evident from the parking lot: everything is meticulously planned, nothing is left to chance. The entrance is simple, never pompous, but as soon as you cross the threshold, you're immediately struck by the old mill wheel and the flowing water: a true gem that exudes authenticity and atmosphere. The welcome is impeccable: the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and never intrusive. After the initial pleasantries, we're greeted with an entrée accompanied by a cocktail served in a flute. Shortly thereafter, the chef introduces himself, friendly and engaging: he asks about our tastes, any preferences or aversions, and suggests we let him guide us on a surprise journey. A well-thought-out "game," as the dishes follow a common theme for all diners, but with personalized variations dictated by his creativity. We opted for a five-course seafood tasting menu, a choice shared by many other guests. The menu opened with five small appetizers, true works of art served on marble, a clear tribute to Pietrasanta's artistic tradition. I don't recall the ingredients in detail, but the memory of the flavor is vivid and extraordinary. Next came spaghetti with sea urchins, simply sublime, accompanied by an off-menu dish from the chef: seafood-filled tortelli flavored with pecorino cheese, a surprising and perfectly executed combination. For the main course, sea bass enriched with bee pollen, an elegant and balanced dish. To finish, two wonderful desserts and, with coffee, a selection of small pastries that sealed a truly memorable evening. A restaurant to remember and return to, perhaps to celebrate a special occasion: because this is precisely the kind of place that deserves to be experienced on important occasions.

La Martinatica in Pietrasanta is a true gem for lovers of fine dining. A few Sundays ago, four of us decided to try the eight-course tasting menu, and I can say it was a truly delightful experience. Chef Francesco D'Agostino immediately won us over with his creations: the raw fish, in particular, is astonishing, with superior quality and authentic flavors that make each dish a small masterpiece. The location, a carefully restored old olive oil mill, adds a touch of charm and authenticity to the experience. The food is simply excellent, with beautifully presented dishes that delight not only the palate but also the eyes. The service is impeccable, always courteous and attentive to the guests' needs. I highly recommend this gourmet restaurant to anyone seeking a special culinary experience in a charming atmosphere. Congratulations to everyone!!!

A wonderful discovery! A charming location, a divinely preserved former olive oil mill, which still houses a watermill! The staff welcomes you with kindness and professionalism, and the food is excellent. We enjoyed a tasting menu prepared by the chef. Each dish was a crescendo of flavors, all well-balanced and harmonious! The risotto was delicious, with super umami flavors! The bread was excellent! It was a pleasure to chat with the chef, who is happy to chat with guests to gain a better understanding of their impressions... The wine list is excellent! We'll definitely be back next summer!
