Excellent lunch overlooking the sea, with very fresh and well-cooked fish. The pasta alla norma is also excellent. The staff is truly friendly and attentive to their needs. Recommended!

Spugnetti Ristopescheria is nothing short of a seafood lover’s dream; the kind of place that completely resets your standards for how good a meal (and an experience) can be. We started with the fritti di calamari, and they were insanely good. Perfectly crisp, feather-light, and absolutely not greasy, with calamari so tender they practically melted. This is the kind of frying mastery that very few places achieve. Simple, pure, flawless. Then came the pasta alla Palermitano, and honestly… to die for. Deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced, and clearly rooted in tradition, yet executed with precision and heart. Every bite tasted like Sicily itself; rich, comforting, and unforgettable. The kind of pasta that makes you slow down because you don’t want it to end. And the grilled swordfish? Completely out of this world. Cooked to perfection. Juicy, delicate, and smoky in all the right ways allowing the quality of the fish to shine without being overworked. It was seafood at its absolute peak. What elevates Spugnetti from excellent to truly exceptional, though, is the service. The staff is beyond respectful, attentive without ever hovering, warm without being overfamiliar. You feel genuinely cared for, like every detail of your experience matters. It’s rare to find service this professional, kind, and effortlessly elegant. Spugnetti Ristopescheria isn’t just a great meal. It’s a masterclass in hospitality, seafood, and Italian soul. One of those places you don’t just recommend… you rave about!

Ristorante Perle D'Ortigia

18/08/2025: A simply unforgettable dinner in the heart of Ortigia! We started with a breathtaking appetizer: a fresh, flavorful, and top-quality tuna tartare, which immediately raised the bar. Then came the fried fish: crispy, light, perfectly executed, and accompanied by a truly amazing sauce. But the real spectacle came with the first courses: the shrimp and pistachio spaghetti was an explosion of flavor with every bite—sea and land came together in an embrace that was almost touching. And then... the sea urchin carbonara. Words are insane. A dish worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, a unique and perfectly balanced combination that deserves every possible applause. The staff? Simply exceptional. The chef deserves an award, and the chef's wife was exceptionally kind, always with a sincere and welcoming smile. We left the restaurant so satisfied that we wanted to take up residence nearby, just to return more often. An experience that goes far beyond just eating: here, you can experience a passion for cooking. Highly recommended!
18/08/2025: Elegant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent food. Definitely worth returning. N.B.: They'll soon be changing their name from "Perle d'Ortigia" to "Osteria Illuminata," but the chef will remain the same. Highly recommended.

09/05/2026: I've been to Zwooooo Due twice. The first time, I bought a bottle of wine – I only planned to eat half of it and enjoyed the rest the next day! The first evening was supposed to start with mussels, but it was a bit of a linguistic tangle as I was unable to speak Italian. The maestro (Capocuoco) explained this and that to me, and I nodded politely! Then came the amazing meal! Grilled and fried fish and seafood. See the picture! Absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, it was still chilly, as is typical for early May, and I didn't have a jacket with me! So, I brought a jacket! On the second day – mussels! Incredibly good (sautéed). At my request, I also got grilled swordfish and pasta (busati or something similar) with fish! So, I was extremely satisfied. Another reviewer wrote: Simply furnished. I can only agree. BUT SUPER PROPER AND EXTREMELY CLEAN!!!!! I THINK IT WAS VERY GOOD
02/05/2026: Nice place, clean and well-kept. The staff at the tables and the kitchen were excellent. I had a really good meal; the bottarga was excellent, and the stuffed calamari was delicious. I'll definitely be back.
