Today we sat in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a full (we just got the last table) and beautiful restaurant. The food was fantastic. The service is almost even better. We felt very welcome and enjoyed every minute. Everyone here loves what they do and you can feel, taste and experience it.
Absolutely clear recommendation! A real gem.

Cozy place, a stone's throw from Celano castle.
The first courses are delicious (the pasta and gnocchi are homemade).
The starters are excellent (rosticini with chickpeas and white onion and the small seed soup).
Special mention for the wine, a Montepulciano that enhances the flavors of the dishes.
Homemade gentian bitters are perfect to end the meal together with dry almond biscuits.

I am writing this review for the location above, "dietro castello". Not only are you enjoying a beverage in the shadow of a castle, in the mountains of Italy, with a view of both and the valley below, but the cocktails are beyond on point and the gratis appertivo are amazingly delicious. The owner is always here and is so friendly and genuinely so happy to have you here. We have been here a few times during our short stay, and it always impresses and makes my heart happy to interact with the staff. FYI - Best negroni I hadn't ever had!!!

So... as you may have understood, it was a pleasant experience. The characteristic place, well furnished (..even if a little small..you can use an external part but you lose something in beauty...)... the service was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful waiters. The menu, although not too rich, is adequate and allows you to choose dishes to your taste. The food served was impeccable both from a qualitative and scenographic point of view (..perhaps we can do even better..). I tasted the house wine and I must say excellent quality. If you pass by Celano I highly recommend stopping in this little place... The only flaw: difficulty in contacting the place.....
