I have been to Locanda del Carmine for dinner several times and each time it has been a confirmation of the quality and goodness of the dishes, even the vegan ones.
In particular, I would recommend the desserts, which always manage to amaze me!

Refined restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is designed to satisfy every palate and gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan variants are always available. Bread and focaccia are homemade, as are fresh pasta and desserts. Refined wine list.

I had dinner at this restaurant with my girlfriend the other night and it was fantastic!
Excellent food, both for the raw materials and for the exceptional way in which the dishes are cooked. And then, what can I say? The lady who welcomes you, with her big smile and great professionalism, makes everything a real experience not to be missed.
Excellent quality/price.
We will definitely be back, thanks for everything!

Sono stato in questo locale con mio padre per passare una serata tranquilla e siamo stati accontentati divinamente. Tavolo singolo molto ampio, quasi in una stanzina riservata, contornata da vini e cose particolari. La padrona molto simpatica e alla mano con i clienti, il menù con piatti delicati e per nulla scontati, tutto curato nei minimi dettagli. Ogni piatto era un esplosione di sapori. Ci ritorneremo. Merita davvero tanto.

I have celiac disease and this place exceeded all expectations!
The kindness and friendliness of the staff are nothing short of admirable.
They created an entirely gluten-free menu, where even the other diners were pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the dishes. Excellent quality ingredients, an additional note of merit to the risotto with pumpkin, stracchino and amaretti, I think the best risotto I've ever eaten!
The gluten-free puff pastry cake was a dream! Fresh and crunchy!
Unfortunately I'm not from the area, but if I were to return to Pavia Locanda del Carmine would definitely be an unmissable stop!

Excellent restaurant in the historic heart of Pavia. Quiet environment and dishes of remarkable taste and variety. Very pleasant presentation, polite and polite staff. Out of politeness I didn't photograph the dishes that deserved or a portrait at all

Restaurant in the center overlooking the church square.
The restaurant has a veranda outside.
Unfortunately, the outdoor area has parts that are excessively hot and others with large drafts which makes the stay unpleasant.
I ate a set menu, so I can't say much about what is on the à la carte menu, nor about the prices.
As for what I ate, nothing wow. Not bad risotto, even if a little too salty. From what I saw from nearby colleagues, they also have some vegetarian dishes.
In short, unfortunately my experience was not top, but if I have the opportunity I would like to try choosing from the à la carte menu.
