This restaurant has always been a point of reference for hikers in the Abruzzo National Park. Maintaining tradition for over 50 years, it's a family-run restaurant with a rustic atmosphere and a friendly atmosphere. Traditional cuisine and locally sourced ingredients are served.

I returned to my favorite place after about 15 years, just today on my birthday, and I found the same kindness, the same courtesy, and above all, the same deliciousness. Excellent, zero-mile quality... I couldn't have given myself a better gift... I recommend a delicious homemade gentian with tarallucci to finish off your meal ❤️❤️❤️

We went for lunch today, September 12, 2025. We're a group of hungry bikers. We were greeted with kindness and courtesy. We received excellent advice. The food was delicious, with locally sourced sheep's milk ricotta and superb arrosticini. The wait staff were very knowledgeable and attentive. A chat with the customers is always a pleasure. WE'LL BE BACK!

Excellent refuge, with very homemade, high-quality cuisine. The deck chairs and loungers available for guests on the lawn outside are very welcome.
Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. This place is very popular with motorcyclists.

Everything is always excellent, and the staff are very friendly. Prices are certainly higher than elsewhere in Abruzzo, but in general, the entire area near Scanno is more expensive because it's very touristy. Open for lunch only.

Il locale è bello e suggestivo con vista sulla montagna. Il servizio è senza fronzoli ma valido. Ottimo l'antipasto rustico con prodotti locali (eccezionale la ricotta di pecora). Molto buoni gli anellini di frate Carlo. Purtroppo i bracaloni di ricotta non ci sono piaciuti: la sapidità copriva ogni altro sapore. Buon la scelta dei vini abruzzesi in bottiglia.Ottima la Genziana ed i dolci secchi di accompagnamento.

Di rientro dopo una breve ma bellissima vacanza a Villalago a casa di amici che conoscono la struttura siamo andati a mangiare in questo ristorante/rifugio.
Il locale è tipico e accogliente, l'atmosfera amichevole, il servizio preciso, veloce e impeccabile.
I piatti tipici sono buonissimi ed abbondanti e il rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente soddisfacente. Se tornerò da quelle parti, sicuramente ci andrò.
