It was a long day for us, still not adapted to the opening hours of the Italian restaurants. When we thought that we won't be getting any food for the day, on a long winded road back to Corfino, we came across this place. Fabulous. Food and some home made delicacies.

I stopped here because it was the only restaurant on the road... and it was my salvation and that of my children, we ate two tagliatelle with mushrooms, a polenta with sausage and a polenta with wild boar, a still water and we spent €67... a little more expensive than I expected, but that's okay, the food was good and there is variety.

A restaurant immersed in nature, with a peaceful atmosphere, and when you step outside and admire the view of the Apuan Alps, you can't say no. Fantastic food, all authentic and with amazing pickles. Generous portions with simple yet delicious dishes.

A restaurant to go to if you want to eat well, in a quiet mountain setting. The pickles are fantastic and everything is authentic. They have no problem getting you to eat and are very kind. Worth a try.

We stopped here during a motorcycle trip. The setting was fantastic, literally immersed in nature (they don't even have cell phone reception). The food was excellent. We had a plate of tagliatelle with venison and polenta with sausage, a beer, a Coke, and two coffees. Everything was excellent, but I understand the remote mountain location, but €45 seems a bit excessive.

We stopped here for lunch. A lovely, rustic place nestled in the green woods with fresh air. In fact, it was a bit windy, so we opted for a table inside. We had tagliatelle with venison (delicious), polenta with wild boar (excellent), polenta with sausage, which was also good. For the main course, we ordered wild boar to share and local pecorino cheese, both very good. For dessert, there were three types of tart, all excellent. In short, we ate very well. The owner was initially a little grumpy, responding in a slightly annoying way, but later he proved to be very kind and understanding of our needs. The only advice I would give is to lower the prices a bit; honestly, I found them a bit high for the area.

Even though there were empty tables, they squeezed us in so tightly that to get up I had to ask the customer at the next table to squeeze in. Found a large insect (cockroach?) cooked between the polenta and the mushroom. Expensive, more quantity than quality.

02/06/2026: Very good food. We arrived at 7:30 PM and I had appetizers to share: meatballs (average), pasta with butter and anchovies (good but a little salty), and zuppa inglese (good). Generally, prices are above average with very small portions, although the quality is excellent. When it came to dessert, while the service had been fast up until then, the waitress warned us that the desserts would be slower—they arrived just as we were about to leave, after half an hour. The place was packed, and the kitchen/service clearly couldn't keep up with the crowd. Poor service: placemats were taken away halfway through the table before dessert, dessert served on napkins (because apparently that's how it's done). The waitress and the older man (probably the owner) were the only positives, in terms of helpfulness, friendliness, and a smile during the service. If we had sat down at 9 PM, we probably would have gotten up after three hours. Actually, a couple of fewer tables but faster and more efficient service.

25/08/2025: We visited the village and had lunch at Giaccó, just steps from the lake. The restaurant offers a la carte lunches for dining inside or sandwiches for eating outside. We had lunch inside, each ordering two courses plus water. The quality of the food was good, although everything was very salty. The menu doesn't have much choice; I don't understand why they didn't include a classic appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, given that they have them at their counter. It cost €32 per person, which was not bad overall.
17/08/2025: The food is good, but it's very disorganized. Fresh, quality produce, and reasonable prices.
