The winner is... "Spaghetti alla carbonara"; the spaghetti is perfect for absorbing the creamy sauce, giving it a uniform flavor. The ingredients (pasta, bacon, pecorino romano, eggs, salt and black pepper) are excellent.
Excellent quality/price ratio.

There were four of us and we took the tasting menu, starters of well cooked and very good raw fish, two second courses, one from the sea and one from the land, also very good and a grilled fish as a second course and a salad as a side dish, fairer portions Abundance, wine (one bottle for every two people) and water included. Fair price for what we ate, friendly and helpful staff. Clean environment.

Amazing food full of flavour! We have been in Catania for 5 days and this was the best place we ate at. I had seafood spaghetti (my go to), which had a variety of seafood in an amazing sauce. Staff were also very friendly and hospitable. When we are back in Catania, we will definitely dine here again!

Sunday 3 November, how lucky we were... I called to ask to book a table for 4 people and we had lunch in this nice and well-kept little place, located in the historic centre. We ate very well🤩because the quality of the dishes is really excellent and the prices are just as good! It was the first time for us, but we can't wait to return... and I assure you it will be very soon 😅

Very clean and super welcoming place, classic trattoria where tradition is favored. Extremely professional staff, incredible price quality, I highly recommend visiting "La Taverna del grande Albera". A compliment in particular to the chef for his flan to the norm.

My son and i came here for lunch , my pasta alla Norma was good, the involtini and roast potatoes were just okay. The service was nothing special , not friendly for Sicilian standards. Overall experience was just ok
