A round table for two was reserved for us near the fireplace with an adjacent window overlooking the hills and church of Treiso. Efficient, very professional staff, competent and friendly sommelier. We took two surprise tasting menus: ossobuco and amberjack tartare, lime octopus with Taggiasca olives and beetroot wafer, Parisian-style snails with fondue and fois gras, chicken plin, roast kid with Piedmontese fried side dish, tastings of exquisite desserts. All accompanied by a wine tasting recommended by the sommelier. Finally, visit the spectacular cellar! What can I say...must try!

Many have told me about it, so you arrive with high expectations in this beautiful place a few kilometers from Alba, with a wonderful view of the hills of tasty Barbaresco.
These expectations are immediately confirmed by the kind hospitality, by the well-known wine cellar, supplied with over 67,000 bottles of high quality from all over the world, but above all by the dishes, refined but not too elaborate, which conquer for their quality and flavour, as well as obviously from the beauty of the presentation.
Among the different courses, which I had the pleasure of tasting, I was certainly won over by the breaded prawn in the tonda gentile with fried frog legs and green bagnet, Tortello with Neapolitan ragù with smoked pecorino couliss and ginger and lemon crumble, the tasty and varied financier and the finale of cream ice cream creamed with rum, chocolate and coffee.
For lovers of flavours, this is definitely a stop not to be missed.

Our Christmas lunch at La Ciau del Tornavento was nothing short of extraordinary. The menu was absolutely incredible, with every dish exquisitely presented and tasting as delightful as it looked. The restaurant itself is grand and elegant, and the views are breathtaking truly adding to the magical experience. Even though I was dining with an Italian family and my Italian is quite limited, the waitress went above and beyond to make me feel welcome explaining the dishes to me in English while sharing them in Italian with the rest of the table. From the starters to the dessert, every plate was a masterpiece of flavor and beauty. It was a truly memorable experience, and I can't recommend it enough!

Ottimo!
Tutto squisito ....

A gastronomic experience that goes beyond all expectations! The La Ciau del Tornavento restaurant, led by chef Maurilio Garola, represents the excellence of Piedmontese and international cuisine.
The first thing that strikes you is the care in selecting the raw materials: each dish is a masterpiece that celebrates the highest quality ingredients, enhanced by the mastery of the chef. The service is impeccable, with professional and attentive staff who make every moment of the meal even more special.
The real surprise, however, is the wine cellar: over 1800 labels from all over the world. A true paradise for enthusiasts, with the possibility of discovering rarities and combinations that make the culinary experience even more unforgettable.
Having lunch here is not just a meal, it is a journey through flavours, aromas and stories of excellence. A place where the pleasure of food and wine blend perfectly.
Will come back a thousand times!

Truly remarkable one Michelin star restaurant. About 10 minutes from sunrise and with plenty of parking, so easy. The place is very nice especially the view and everything.
We did the tasting menu and I have to say that you leave without being hungry as usually happens in starred restaurants but everything is very good and you eat a lot. The visit to the cellar is a truly remarkable experience in itself, there are around 15 million euros of wine including the cable, in short, a truly infinite choice of wine.
