La Ciau del Tornavento In Treiso

An unforgettable experience, from the food to the venue. The cellar alone is worth a visit to admire the hundreds of bottles stored underground.

Had lunch here. The weather was perfect so the dining room was particularly lovely, though because all the doors were open there were some bugs flying around. We had the seasonal market menu but asked to have white truffle put on whatever the chef thought appropriate. For me personally, some of the dishes ended up being a bit heavy but overall it was a lovely meal. Side note: they are very dog friendly and on the day I went there were about 4 dogs in the dining room in case anyone has allergies or anything.

This was my second dinner at Ciau del Tornavento, and after six years, it's confirmed that it's the best restaurant I've ever been to. The food is consistently excellent (three menus to choose from or a la carte), the service impeccable, and the location is fantastic. The wine cellar (which can be visited upon request) is truly exceptional. My favorite place.

The food is good. Unfortunately that day we were there, there is a group gathering so it’s a bit noisy. The service is good, yet, young waiter murmuring so I can’t hear what he said about the dish. Too bad the menu you need to take the same in whole table but me and my husband we have different tastes so it’s impossible to do so. We chose the a la carte. I have the feeling this restaurant is trying to get a star, and I hope they do if they could make the service more personal feeling. The view is great.

Returning in August after my first visit in mid-December 24th, I found a few drawbacks compared to the first experience... The cellar, no longer photographable or accessible without electronic devices; the wines are still excellent, but with a hefty price per glass (€13 each); the menu is pleasant but not as amazing as I'd imagined it to be eight months ago. End-of-season fatigue must have played a part. The service was efficient and attentive. The bill, I'd say, was steep, between €160 and €200 per cover... Will I return? More of a no than a yes.

Always a pleasure. Everything is perfect. I don't know about the rooms, I've never stayed there. But the restaurant... Fabulous.

Excellent restaurant. Breathtaking views! And the wine cellar is a must-see 😍 The only downside is that the dining room is a bit noisy.

Excellent food, excellent service with very kind staff

Highly recommended. The location, the view of the hills, the well-kept garden, and the well-spaced tables create a peaceful atmosphere. Once seated, we opted to order à la carte rather than the tasting menu. The dishes were well-balanced, the portions were just right, and the service was prompt. The sommelier, after describing the type of wine we wanted to drink, found the perfect bottle for our needs. The service was meticulous, and they truly pampered us and made us feel at ease, even with small touches that we truly appreciated. Finally, what about the wine cellar? Here, you just have to let your sense of wonder and awe take over. The sum of all these aspects ensured that it wasn't just a wonderful dinner, but a truly memorable and highly recommended experience. A special thanks goes to the sommelier who knew how to find the perfect bottle.
