La Bul In Bari

Wonderful place, outstanding food and wine pairings in an unpretentious setting. Service excellent, and made us feel extremely welcome.

During our stay in Puglia I did my search for recognized restaurants in the Polignaro a Mare and Bari area. I found this Michelin recommendation from the La Bul restaurant in Bari and we were definitely delighted with the treatment of chef Antonio Scalera and his sommelier. We chose the dark and amorios tasting menus with the wine list that goes with each dish. The combination of flavors in each of the dishes was delicious. The wines , original from Puglia region, for the menu were very good . The restaurant also has an a la carte menu. We have tasted restaurants with Michelin stars in the US and Europe and this restaurant has nothing to envy them!!! It is excellent!! And the prices are very reasonable compared to prices in the US. Definitely the best food I have eaten in this area. If you are going to be in the Polignaro a Mare or Bari area, I highly recommend this culinary gem!!!

Such good food and such nice people, at the end of the night they even let us sample a local amaro that was the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

La Bul is a Michlene style restaurant when you choose a pre-made course (5 or 7 portions). I chose 5, and I liked everything (except the calamry black ink portion). The place itself is nothing special, but this is usually the case with Michlene (style) restaurants. If you're into good food and reasonable pricing (again, comparing to a 1-star Michelene type restaurant), don't miss LA Bul!

Great food and presentation with good wine pairings. A lot of American clientele though, which impacted the atmosphere somewhat but unrelated to restaurant itself.

Great meal. We went for the full experience. 8 courses from the Chef and we were super surprised. An abundance of great raw fish in superior sauces. To finish with duck breast. The service was professional and very enthusiastic.

Don’t miss this one! A great foody experience! Outstanding service. Exceptional food. Glad we went early - around 7.30pm - as a huge party arrived just as we were leaving. We appreciated the tranquility of the place while it wasn’t too full. Extremely delicious food, with wonderful touches and treats along the way. First class service from knowledgeable and friendly staff. A delight to end our holiday on such a foodie high! Thank you!

The only (almost) starred restaurant experience in Bari was an excellent discovery. Good food, good wine and great service. We will be back.
