La bottega del Franco is a restaurant in the heart of residential Bologna. A mix of Bolognese traditions and top-level special fish cuisine. I ate the best risotto ever with tuna steak, prawns and courgette flowers, a truly special and super filling dish! The desserts are interesting and unique, the ice cream made by them is very very good. Super service and normal prices for this level. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I have had different experiences. I ate well, she didn't. The starter with brioche and creamed cod was excellent, a perfect balance between sweet and savory. The black rigatoni with courtyard ragù was good. The roasted octopus was too salty. The hazelnut filled cream puff was excellent, the meringue dessert was too sweet, according to my wife. The place is nice and welcoming, the prices high but not too much. For a starter, a first course, a second course, 2 glasses of wine, a water, 2 desserts and 2 coffees, we spent 108 euros, which in my opinion is a fair price.

I was taken here for work, so I can't comment on the price. However this place is a gem. Beautiful decor, lovely atmosphere, amazing gardens and has so much character. The food was excellent and the service matched that quality.

The place is aesthetically perhaps the most beautiful I have seen in Bologna. Friendly and competent service. I asked for a vegan risotto which was really well done, the chickpea meatballs were also very popular. If I can make a suggestion, it would be perfect to include a vegan option on the menu even among the first courses: a nice pasta is always what I prefer when going out to eat, like all Italians I think 😊 The prices are in line with the location and the service offered. All the guests really enjoyed the dishes, with a beautiful presentation and an excellent balance of flavours.

Saturday evening with friends, spriz to avoid, if I want water I order water...
First courses, second courses and desserts are normal, for the amount paid I expect much more, perhaps they should opt for less gourmet but quality dishes.
Friendly staff even if not all up to par
An advice:
The dog that wanders between the tables and the cat that lies down on the set tables isn't the best, which is a shame because the place is really beautiful

Locale bellissimo, sofisticato ed elegante. Nel dopocena diventa una sorta di discoteca.
I piatti , dagli antipasti ai dolci,tutti molto buoni con ampia varietà di scelta.
Da prenotare molto prima perché il locale è sempre pieno.
Parcheggio privato disponibile.
Prezzi in linea con la location e le pietanze che ti portano.
