Yesterday (May 1, 2026) we had an excellent dinner, authentic local cuisine, everything very good, a very welcoming atmosphere, very kind staff, and fair prices... definitely the best cuisine in Volpaia. We'll be back.

The village of Volpaia is a small gem in the heart of Chianti. A stop at the Bottega di Volpaia restaurant is a must, with tables under the pergola overlooking the hills offering breathtaking views. Excellent food and helpful staff.

The three of us went for dinner, two humans and Blu, a big dog. Dinner was perfect; we had bruschetta and pici with wild boar ragù, with an amaretto parfait, all delicious. Blu was treated like a king by Mrs. Carla. Best of luck to Gina ♥️

25/03/2026: Pizza Tour: Excellent, you can ask for any type of pizza! The final dessert, tiramisu and millefeuille, was spectacular! Beautiful, welcoming atmosphere, attentive and polite staff!

15/04/2026: I went with colleagues for a business lunch, and I'm really struggling to understand the positive reviews. I opted for Paccheri with Mussels and Clams, but the pasta was bland and devoid of any flavor. The chicken for the main course arrived practically charred. I'm sorry I'm so harsh sometimes, but the food is truly something else entirely. And even though the price of lunch is €12, they should still offer at least an acceptable meal. I often have business lunches at these prices, but this is truly something else entirely. I don't think I'll go back, or maybe I'll do it for the pizza, but certainly not for traditional dishes that aren't well-prepared.
31/03/2026: Visited during lunch. Pasta were ok. Beef steak as well. Wine was great. Friendly efficient service staff.
