This is a place I would return to every time I am in the area. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. I served tagliatelle with truffles and my husband beef with puree. The dessert was excellent, too. In the front of the restaurant is a garden with beautiful colored flowers, but we stayed inside because it was quite cold outside. The gentlemen who served us were very nice. I highly recommend this place.

It is the first time I have visited the small village of Volpaia, a gem. As soon as I arrived I was attracted by the La Bottega di Volpaia restaurant, without having booked they welcomed us and placed us on the terrace, in the shade of a beautiful fig tree. The view of the Chianti hills is pleasant. Excellent food and service, kind and very friendly. See you soon, I recommend you go and spend an afternoon after having lunch.

The only flaw, based on my experience, is the fact that we hadn't even finished eating the starters, the second course had already arrived. Unfortunately, by doing this one is forced to eat in a hurry so as not to let the food get cold, but everything can fit ..for the rest nothing to say, courtesy and unique atmosphere!

Magical spot - worth going to. Do not order the steak florintine unless you want it rare. The Italians I was with had me send a few pieces back to be cooked one min more for Med rare- clearly the chef didn’t appreciate this as it was given back to me as tough as leather. Very disappointed. Otherwise a lovely place.
