Prima di poter ordinare abbiamo dovuto aspettare 40 minuti, stavamo per alzarci e andar via quando poi il cameriere c’ha fermato e c’ha preso le ordinazioni.
Di per se il servizio è molto scadente ma si salvano con i piatti, davvero buoni

Beautiful location with spectacular views of the city. Superb food at incredible prices and great waiters. We enjoyed our meal whilst watching the sun set over the beautiful city of Matera. 5*

We followed the recommendation reviews and frankly it was ideal. A very pleasant welcome, a dinner on a terrace overlooking the historic center!! Sublime. Very good dishes and very reasonable prices for the place. Very nice evening. THANKS.

The food is excellent and the portions perfect. The service staff seems to work in a disorganized and improvised manner. There is little attention to the preparation of the tables (uncoordinated glasses belonging to different service). It is highly recommended to oil the kitchen door, because the constant squeaking of the waiters coming in and out is quite annoying.

A window onto the stones of Matera literally. Can be used in the evening however due to the heat during the day. At lunch you are in a classic 80s/90s restaurant environment, not even too characteristic. You order yours, wait a while and it all arrives. Good wine list, normal portions, friendly staff, although honestly it seemed to me that the kitchen lacked organization for a moment. Our starter, incomplete, had been waiting on a table to be served for over 10 minutes and in the meantime first courses were served to people who had arrived quite a bit earlier than us....
However, we eat normally.

We had an amazing experience at Kappador restaurant in Matera! The quality of service is excellent, and the atmosphere is simply lovely, located on the delightful Piazzetta Vittorio Veneto. The view of the suggestive Sassi of Matera is truly breathtaking, making dinner even more special.
Lucanian cuisine is delicious, with typical dishes expertly prepared and impeccably presented. The owners, a very kind couple, are extremely professional and welcoming.
An experience to recommend to anyone visiting Matera!😄

We are a group of Sicilians. Last night we had dinner at this wonderful restaurant. We couldn't find a better place for excellent flavors and hospitality. The window overlooking the stones and the view that the owner kindly let us enjoy by spontaneously taking us to the roof of the place were fantastic. We recommend it. We will certainly return
