Highly recommended. Excellent local Matera cuisine served in generous portions. The staff is courteous and professional. The restaurant is elegant, with cloth-lined tables. The terrace overlooking the Sassi is actually a window, but considering the reasonable prices, it's a restaurant worth trying.

Lights and shadows! Ambience: There's a beautiful view from one side of the terrace, but not all tables can use it; access is difficult, and the tables are very close together. Service: The restaurant has high aspirations, but the staff is disorganized and confused. Food: Perhaps the best thing overall, but some appetizers were sloppy and just "thrown in." The first courses were good, the second courses worse (greasy and flavorless meats). Plus, they served us a stew we ordered in a terracotta pot "decorated" with sparkling fireworks... honestly, a bit excessive for a dish that was less well received than the rest.

I returned to Kappador after some time away, and I can say that the experience was even better than I remembered. We dined on the terrace with a view, in a truly enchanting atmosphere.
Everything was impeccable: attentive service, carefully prepared and flavorful dishes, quality ingredients, and a presentation that demonstrates care and passion.
I found a place that had grown, improved in every detail, without losing its distinctive authenticity. An evening with friends that turned into an experience to remember. Congratulations!

Il ristorante è proprio nella piazza principale. Abbiamo preso solo tre primi una birra 🍻 un acqua e una porzione di frutta. Abbiamo pagato il giusto per quello consumato ed è un posto da ritornarci per mangiare all'estero perché essendo che faceva tanto caldo per pranzo ci hanno fatto mangiare dentro con l'aria condizionata.
Una cosa molto gradita è che ho fatto presente al cameriere/responsabile che l'anguria non era buona, e praticamente dopo un po' ha portato altri due pezzi di anguria 🍉 molto buoni. Atteggiamento molto molto gradito.
Vuol dire che si ammette il piccolo l'errore. Bravi!
Comunque posto molto tranquillo, ci ritorneremo e lo consiglio.
