Incipit Restaurant In Tropea

After 10 days travel across Italy. This is the best restaurant based on price and quality. Also has a beautiful internal area. Highly recommended. International Class

After a year, I'm forced to update my review because the food isn't as good as it was a year ago! The rice isn't creamy, the baby octopus is practically in a broth, the pasta is completely disjointed, and the octopus is rubbery. It's a shame because we had a really great time last year.

Visited during a stay in Tropea, had a fish dinner, everything delicious. The waiter (Aldo, I think...) treated us divinely, with a taste of delicious bitters at the end of the dinner. The owner is also always helpful and friendly. A place to spend a wonderful evening, as a couple or as a family.

Exquisite food and perfect service. They gave us excellent advice on both the choice of dishes and the matching wine. The desserts are spectacular. We were so thrilled we went back a second time!!! Highly recommended.

A few days ago, my boyfriend and I had lunch at this fantastic restaurant. The interior is spectacular, with beautifully appointed tables and an open kitchen, all framed by stunning stone walls that are truly welcoming and evocative. We had lunch on the veranda, which was very charming and minimalist, and despite being high season, it was very breezy. As for the food, there's nothing to complain about. The first courses were sublime; we had the calamarata and scialatielli, both truly delicious. For the second course, we had seared tuna with caramelized Tropea onions, truly excellent, and you could taste the fresh, local catch. It was all accompanied by an excellent bottle of Madre Goccia wine. For dessert, we were delighted with the Amaro del Capo tiramisu; I think it's a must-try. The owner was extremely kind and looked after us and advised us throughout the lunch. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

All good things come in threes. We had dinner at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the food, and the wait staff. All the dishes we tried were delicious and made with refinement and passion; from the pasta dishes to the mussels and the tuna steak: everything was special! Special mention goes to the maître d' and the entire staff, whose kindness, passion, and expertise make you feel immediately at ease and pampered. If you're passing through Tropea, you can't miss this gem and you won't be able to live without it, just like us, who stumbled upon it one evening and returned every night of our vacation.

A UNIQUE experience. We ate wonderfully, but that's an understatement. We had the raw fish to start: red shrimp, scampi, and tuna tartare were EXCEPTIONAL. And then the first course, tonnarelli with shrimp bisque... SPEECHLESS. EXCELLENT. I think I've eaten so well in very few places; this is definitely in my top 10. The speed, professionalism, and above all, the friendliness of the staff. Everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious dishes, with excellent local specialties: as an expert in "parmigiana di melanzane" I tasted a fantastic chef version here, delicate and flavorful. The Polpo is another specialty to try at this place. Ask for the extra menu items to enjoy the specialty of the day. The staff is very professional and caring, particularly helpful to find your favorite wine taste.

Excellent restaurant! I dined here twice I loved it so much. Thoughtful, curated menu and 5 star service. They made me feel special and were attentive and appreciative. I especially loved the sepia with fennel appetizer and the pistachio sea bass. Exceptional! Oh and great wine list!
