I showed up at the restaurant at 8:30 PM on New Year's Eve with my husband and son. I told the waiter I had a reservation, but there was nothing in my name. The owner wasn't bothered, immediately added a table, and had it set. I quickly realized WE HAD THE WRONG RESTAURANT (they were waiting for us somewhere else), but they were GREAT, making sure we weren't left stranded on New Year's Eve!!! THANK YOU!

positive experience but little attention to service details

Everything perfect and excellent food

Good Tuscan-inspired cuisine, decent service, some generous portions, others decidedly small (we had to reorder the baked potatoes because the ones included with the meat were very small). The shank (cooked at a low temperature) was too dry. Prices above average.

We ate wonderfully: every dish was a true discovery of authentic flavors, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. We started with the appetizer of the day and pulled meat tacos, truly tasty and original. This was followed by a first course of tagliatelle with Cinta Senese ragù, perfectly balanced and rich in flavor. The second course of the day, a tender and flavorful pork shank, was simply spectacular! All accompanied by a glass of Montalcino red wine. The homemade desserts deserve a special mention: the crema catalana and pistachio tiramisu were the icing on the cake of an unforgettable lunch. The bread, fragrant and delicious, also perfectly complemented each course. All this was enhanced by the wonderful, kind, and welcoming staff, who made the experience even more enjoyable. We recommend Il Toscano to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic local cuisine. We will definitely be back! ❤️

It turns out to be one of the best restaurants for anyone who loves authentic Mediterranean cuisine, can read a menu, and makes the effort to speak the local language. The quality is truly top-notch; we were very satisfied and were happy to pay the modest bill.

My wife and I ate in this nice, clean and elegant place in Bolsena, we had a seafood tasting for two and then, being in a lake place, we couldn't miss some lake fried fish, everything was really very good, 2 coffees and water for a total of 70 euros, highly recommended.
