I went here for the first time this week with a group of 5. Honestly nothing exceptional. The price respects the quality though.

Cozy Italian restaurant, very good quality of food. I especially recommend the mixed fry (the best in the area) and the first courses. you eat well. I also had a dessert, we ate a lot and didn't spend much.

Beautiful restaurant, the food is really good! I regret not going sooner! The staff is super knowledgeable and very kind, it's a pleasure to eat here. Not to mention the beautiful setting! I can't wait to return!

I Gelsi è un buon ristorante a Gallarate, con un menù vario che spazia tra piatti di pesce, carne e pizza. Gli ingredienti sono freschi e le porzioni abbondanti, soprattutto per i piatti di mare. L’ambiente è curato e accogliente, adatto sia per cene in coppia che per gruppi. Il servizio è generalmente attento e veloce. I prezzi sono giusti per la qualità offerta, anche se alcune portate potrebbero essere leggermente più curate nei dettagli. Nel complesso, un buon posto dove tornare!

very nice place, I ate really well, the food, quality and service are worth what I paid. really very satisfied, for parking there is a supermarket so you have no problems, satisfied I will return.

03/06/2025: love this place and have been coming here for many years. the food is exquisite with sort of old fashioned but extremely friendly service. they also help you find great vegetarian options on the menu. try the risotto!
02/06/2025: A thoroughly enjoyable restaurant visit with the whole family! The ambiance is upscale, yet child-friendly and very inviting. We were warmly welcomed with a welcome drink and the attentive service throughout the evening. The food was outstanding: a flavorful soup for starters, a delicate carrot carpaccio, creamy asparagus risotto, and tender duck – all prepared with great attention to detail. A particularly lovely feature: the well-kept garden with fresh herbs used directly in the kitchen. A harmonious concept that you can taste. We'd love to come back!

11/06/2025: This morning we had breakfast at Bar Why Not, on the advice of one of our customers... and we can only thank him! It was a truly pleasant discovery, one of those that make you start the day on the right foot. We chose a sweet and varied breakfast: a walnut brioche with a strong and enveloping flavor, a salted caramel brioche, delicious and a very special panettone, which we had never seen before. An original touch that really intrigued and conquered the palate. All accompanied by an excellent coffee, a creamy cappuccino and a fragrant barley. But what really made the difference was the welcome: the girl who served us was overwhelmingly friendly, with a sincere smile that immediately put us in a good mood. A simple but precious gesture, which makes a place special and makes you want to return. Working nearby, we have already decided that Why Not will be our point of reference for breakfasts and breaks during the day. And when we return on holiday in these parts, it will be a sure stop to find that mix of goodness and cordiality that won us over. Highly recommended to those who are in the area: try it, and you will understand why we will definitely return.
