Sometimes the best restaurants are those that don't make too much noise, but do it well. Hostaria Trieste is exactly that. A welcoming place, a relaxed atmosphere, without unnecessary frills. You sit down and immediately feel like you're in the right place to eat well and spend a pleasant evening. It's not a restaurant built to impress with special effects, but to convince with substance. And in the end, that's what matters. The fish was the star of the dinner: delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. Dishes were meticulously prepared but not overdone, with clean flavors and balanced portions. A cuisine that focuses on substance and succeeds. You eat with gusto, without fuss. And you leave satisfied. A pleasant note from the evening: at the next table we met other Florentine customers, who were also enthusiastic about the experience. When several tables, without knowing each other, share the same good impression, it's usually a good sign. The service was friendly and light. The waiter, hearing me mention the Bora, seized the opportunity with a humorous quip that elicited a smile and made the atmosphere even more informal. That kind of spontaneous interaction makes dinner more lively and less "standard." One practical note: parking isn't exactly easy. It's best to leave the car a little further away and walk, a choice that avoids stress and allows you to enjoy the evening more peacefully. In short: good seafood, a pleasant atmosphere, genuine service. A reliable place you'll gladly return to.

The first surprise was the perfect service. We were pampered, and the waiter was discreet and attentive. The food was a pleasant surprise, but the pictures speak for themselves.

Above Expectations — We ended up here on the recommendation of the excellent guide Giovanni (recommended, you can find him on "free walking tours Italia") because we wanted to try Trieste cuisine. We were really impressed by the quality of the fish, as well as the preparation. The desserts were also delicious (many places "fall" here, at the best moment). The house white wine and good atmosphere. We were lucky because our table wasn't too close to others. All in all, it's definitely worth a visit (and we don't understand why the "average" on Google at the time of writing is "only" 4.3). We went for dinner in January, during high season (between New Year's Eve and Epiphany).

A welcoming atmosphere, a traditional and seasonal menu, excellent first courses, and quality ingredients. Ideal for a family dinner or a romantic dinner for two or small groups.

The food was excellent, and the staff provided impeccable service. The atmosphere is typical of an osteria, yet refined, and offers a warm welcome overall. Everything was excellent, and I'll definitely be back.
