Beautiful experience, intimate and welcoming restaurant in the historic center of Como. All the staff were very kind and knowledgeable, particularly in the explanation of each dish. If you want to have a special dinner this is the right place.

After the warm welcome, when we moved on to the tasting, it was very pleasing to see a team that values ​​Como and this region. A Lugana with a deep character, wonderfully lingering on your palate and aged for 5 seasons accompanied us. In our menu, which philosophy is respect for nature and locality, cat fish, ossobucco with a new perspective and pigeon completed with foie gras with pomegranate sauce were prominent.

I went to the Feel restaurant in the center of Como as a surprise for my 30th birthday, organized by my girlfriend. It was an overall pleasant experience, but with room for improvement. Location and atmosphere The location is very welcoming and well looked after, with a "cozy" and friendly atmosphere. The tables are well lit and the seats very comfortable, ideal for enjoying your meal in complete relaxation. Service As soon as we arrived, we were seated and asked for our preference on water, which arrived immediately. However, no one asked us if we wanted to start with an aperitif or a glass of wine, a detail that would have been appreciated. The chef's welcome arrived about 15 minutes later, but still without any drinks or glasses available. When I asked the waitress if it was possible to have an aperitif, the answer was that, having chosen the wine pairing, it was not foreseen - even if it seemed to me implied that we had paid for it separately. The explanation was a bit imprecise and unsatisfactory, probably due to the waitress' lack of experience. Kitchen The “Sottobosco” tasting menu is interesting and well thought out, but in some cases the dishes failed to achieve the desired outcome for a restaurant that aims so high. The best dish was the trout, even if it was slightly too salty. In general, we perceive the desire to offer refined cuisine, but that touch that makes the experience truly memorable is still missing. Wines and sommelier service Great praise goes to the owner (I presume) and sommelier, who proved to be extremely knowledgeable, passionate and attentive in serving the wines. She was the real added value of the evening, with an impeccable ability to match the wines to the dishes. Details to improve A final aspect that was perplexing was the background music, which seemed to come from a recorded live concert. The applause was excessively loud and present compared to the music and was initially irritating, although it eventually became a source of some laughter. Conclusion In summary, Feel certainly has potential, but it needs to refine some details to offer an experience that truly lives up to expectations. The dedication of the sommelier is what raises my rating to 4 stars instead of less. Thanks again for the evening!

Just great! Starting with the warm welcome from the owner of the house, continuing with the fine dishes, carefully prepared, everything from the local area, and expertly explained wine. And all of this in beautiful old new rooms!

Vivere il centro di Como come una fuga dalla città e fare di una stalla del Cinquecento un’accogliente alcova: questo è l’incipit di una storia coraggiosa. Elisa e Federico sono pura sinergia, hanno in mano una poetica che funziona da dieci anni e sanno come farla vibrare. Il sottobosco è esaltato nella sua stagionalità, con percorsi che cambiano senza mai allontanarsi dal territorio di origine. I dintorni del lago diventano terreno di raccolta, senza cella frigorifera (per ragioni di spazio) tutto è rigorosamente fresco. Così un architetto pentito e uno chef disincantato dai rumori meneghini sono la scommessa di una città le cui luci notturne perdono intensità, sono il faro di una nuova generazione che ce l’ha fatta. Con gli occhi degli eterni villeggianti, pedalano le vie alla scoperta di prodotti essenziali, e ne fanno materia viva, che non sbiadisce mai. Sedici coperti, un ambiente familiare e la voglia di farne parte. Merita il viaggio, e qualcosa in più.

Una joya escondida en Como - el ambiente es genial, solo hay 6 mesas aproximadamente y el servicio es por lo tanto fantástico. Elegimos el menú a la carta y todas las opciones fueron fantásticas. Los requisitos dietéticos también estaban bien atendidos, yo estaba embarazada cuando visitamos y pudieron ofrecer alternativas y ajustes a los platos. Precio muy razonable para la comida y el servicio que se ofrecen. ¡Debo visitar!

We had high expectations already, but they gave us a meal and experience far greater than we could’ve even dreamed! From Elisa’s exceptional service and knowledge/story on each dish, to the kind words of the head chef, to the ambiance, and the exquisite food (the significance behind each dish is as incredible as the flavors) were absolutely amazing. We loved how they made the set menu centered around a reflection of Como with local ingredients. This was a once-in-a-lifetime dinner!

30/03/2025: A few kilometers from Como and its lake, in the heart of Lomazzo and within its fascinating post-industrial context - it was a cotton mill - of the Fabbrica Campus, lies a true jewel of modern catering: the Trattoria Contemporanea. Don't be fooled by the name, which evokes images of popular restaurants: here we are faced with a hotbed of gastronomic ideas capable of surprising and innovating. A very young and perfectly blended team operates in the kitchen, capable and - despite the green average age - highly trained. With alchemical precision, in the kitchen you combine (a pinch of) tradition and (a lot of) modernity without neglecting your personal background, which can also be guessed at as to the origin of some surprising ingredients. The environment of the Trattoria Contemporanea manages to perfectly combine industrial charm with sophisticated design. Large spaces, bright environment, tables well spaced from each other and open kitchen. The dining room staff, also fresh but very knowledgeable, embodies spontaneous professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the culinary offering, making the service not only impeccable but also pleasantly engaging. As per my habit, when I appear for the first time in a place where creativity reigns supreme, I opt for one of the tasting menus (the most substantial), in order to completely entrust my journey to the creativity of the kitchen, ready to be surprised by the combinations that will come. I won't go into the details of the dishes (anticipated by a series of tasty and fun amus-bouche, generously complimented) so as not to spoil the surprise effect for those who want to follow the same path, but I will anticipate that you are faced with a continuous game of shapes, consistencies and flavours, with no hesitation on the part of the chefs to dare, even pushing towards peaks of aromaticity or spiciness or flavour. A long - very pleasant - game, stimulating from start to finish. Even the wine and drinks list is not at all banal, and aims in part to enhance realities that are not inflated but capable of excellent production. In conclusion, Trattoria Contemporanea is not just a restaurant, but a place where gastronomic creativity takes shape boldly and surprisingly, making it an essential stop for those who want to live an uncommon gastronomic experience. Every detail, from the "comfortable" service to the presentation of the dishes, is taken care of with passion and competence. The bill is absolutely in line with the quality and originality of the proposal.
