Donna Rosa il Ristorante In Positano

I had the pleasure of dinning at Donna Rosa at my first night in Italy, the only bad thing was that it set up my expectations too high for what was to come and no other restaurant was as good as this one. Plus they have parking what is so hard to find especially in Positano. The gentleman in the front and all the staff was extremely nice and friendly.

From start to finish our experience was outstanding. Definitely off the beaten track but well worth the time to get there. The service, drinks and food were top notch!

You have to go here. The food alone is worth it 10 fold not to mention the most beautiful people work here. They are so so sweet. Food We had the lavender scallops (best scallop I’ve ever had and it actually smells like lavender- unbelievable). The scallops have a heavenly tender and light lavender taste with a little bit of lemon. Basil/pesto pasta- I was so so torn between ordering the truffle pasta and the basil pasta and the owner said her favorite is the basil pesto so we chose that one. Omg I don’t even like pesto that much and I would order this every night. It’s so light and smooth nothing over powering but yet so so flavorful. The pasta is also delicious on its own. Sea bass- if you like fish get this it’s amazing. Everything is so tender. I love the nuts, olives, and capers on top. If I had to do it again I would still order the sea bass and chicken because all the flavors were so different and unique. My husband said he would order two chickens just for himself haha. Chicken- fall off the bone tender. Would please anyone. If you have a picky eater get them this it’s just so so good. Pana cotta- you HAVE TO order this. It is so light and just amazing. Such a delicious vanilla taste. We could have eaten 5 of them easily. Tiramisu- again phenomenal I think it’s really rare to go out to dinner and have every dish taste so wonderful from beginning to end- but they did it. The setting is nice too- very romantic. Soft Italian music plays in the background, the kitchen is gorgeous, and you can easily talk to your friends and partners. Service is top notch. The people here are so warm and friendly. 5/5 stars beginning to end!

Cute family owned restaurant. You can feel the kinship and care as you are being seated. Some of the best food we’ve had this trip. All meals were amazing and good portions. Love how the meals weren’t too complicated. Simple but executed to perfect. Star of the show was the tiramisu. Best tiramisu in Italy maybe? Give it a try!

Fabulous dining experience. Best meal I had in Amalfi by far.

Definitely one of the best restaurants if not the best in Positano. The only downside is that it is way up on the hill and totally far away from all the tourist attractions. Which maybe is an upside if you think about it. We made the mistake of walking there from the city center and I sweated the amount of a lemon. 🍋In all seriousness, Google maps said that it would take 30 minutes walking and it took me one hour because I am not a hiker - it's literally all steps up. I only saw two people going up this whole route so clearly people do not go up this way often. Very local vibe, you can tell because locals are out in the evening playing with their family. But onto the more important details. We got the scallops, truffle pasta, and pork. The truffle pasta was so fresh, handmade pasta and it was the best truffle pasta I've ever had. The server was attentive and very nice as was the owner. It seemed like it was a family owned establishment. They were nice up until the very end where they told us where to take the bus to go home and to buy the ticket. FYI. They do charge a cover fee of two or four euros and the water is five euros.

Best pasta you will have in the amalfi coast.

Real traditional Italian food. We ordered almost the entire menu and everything was delicious! We felt like family. This resting is a most if you are in the positano area.

Visitamos dos veces este viaje. Restaurante familiar. Rosita habla inglés con fluidez. Experiencia gourmet. La sopa de frijoles blancos era un excelente aperitivo. Comí pollo cacciatore la primera visita y luego una pasta especial la segunda visita. El vino era bueno y el postre de panecote delicioso. Taxi de vuelta a Nocelle era ridículo en 40 euros, así que la próxima vez que cogimos el autobús.

Restaurante encantador para la cena. El servicio era excelente - la comida era excelente y estaba fuera del negocio de Positano. Iría de nuevo seguro!
