This seemed a little out of the way but it more than made up for that with exquisite food and a stunning wine list. The service was perfect.

After going to 4+ star restaurants all over our Italy trip and being disappointed with the food, I need to leave a review for this one because this is one that actually deserves a 5 stars from me and my husband. We ordered ravioli, sea bass, tiramisu, and panna cotta. It was delicious. Ravioli was perfect and al dente. Sea bass was cooked perfectly, not under or overcooked, but just right and flavored lightly and delicious. This was the first panna cotta of all my trip and I'm worried if I have it at any other places in the remainder of our trip, I'll be disappointed because it was sooo good. Service was great. Timing of everything was perfect. Didn't wait too long for our food or to get our order. And also dishes came out one at a time with good pacing. Highly recommend! Fortunately, our B&B was walking distance, but if you decide to come from Positano, definitely take the bus up (Montepertuso-Nocelle line) unless you want the hike up (as another reviewer mentioned). It deceptively looks close on maps! You would catch the bus at Piazza dei Mullini (Positano) and stop at Piazza Cappella (Montepertuso). At Piazza dei Mullini, you can buy bus tickets at the Tabacchi right across for €1.30 (it's €1.80 on the bus, but paying on bus you're going to slow folks getting on the bus down 😅).

We ate at Donna Rosa our last night in Italy - and honestly, it was probably our favorite dinner. I had the truffle pasta -- sometimes truffles can be overpowering, but here at Donna Rosa, it was PERFECT. The restaurant is one of three up in Montepertuso, so it's away from the main Positano area. We stayed in an Air B&B up there, so it was convenient for us, but you may need to take a taxi to the top of the mountain. But assure you it is WORTH IT. Great atmosphere, it's family run and they are so helpful and kind. They had great wine, and have to recommend the lemon sorbet for dessert. They have them everywhere in Italy but this one at Donna Rosa was my favorite. Such a delightful surprise! And was a great way to end our trip. Perfection!

This was probably the best italian meal I have ever eaten, and definitely the best one in Italy. The team was AMAZING. So nice, cordial, jokes with us, helped us with taxis. This was enjoyable. The pasta? Amazing and perfect. Try the truffle pasta, the seafood pasta…. My god! Delicious. The chicken, wow! The Branzino, to die for!!!! Wow. And the dessert, perfection! I cannot recommend more. Delicious perfection!! Thanks donna rossa! Btw… blew every other restaurant out of the water, even Michelin ones!!

A wonderfully well-maintained restaurant steeped in family tradition. The dishes are wonderfully flavorful. The ambiance is elegant, and the service is excellent. Donna Rosa is definitely a reason to return to Montepertuso.

If you are looking for a true home cooked Italian feel meal I would highly recommend going to this place. My wife and I went here on our final night in Italy. They had a comped driver pick us up and bring us to the resturant and back to our hotel. The food was delicious. We had the grilled calamari as a starter, my wife had the truffle pasta, and I had the ravioli. We will definitely come back here again when we come back to Italy.

Visitamos dos veces este viaje. Restaurante familiar. Rosita habla inglés con fluidez. Experiencia gourmet. La sopa de frijoles blancos era un excelente aperitivo. Comí pollo cacciatore la primera visita y luego una pasta especial la segunda visita. El vino era bueno y el postre de panecote delicioso. Taxi de vuelta a Nocelle era ridículo en 40 euros, así que la próxima vez que cogimos el autobús.

Restaurante encantador para la cena. El servicio era excelente - la comida era excelente y estaba fuera del negocio de Positano. Iría de nuevo seguro!
