The restaurant is high up on the mountain, and our driver (not arranged by the restaurant as some of the reviews state) knew the roads well and got us there quickly and safely. We were seated in a smaller dining room off to the side where it was really quiet. Would’ve preferred to sit in the main dining area. White table cloth atmosphere. Food was delicious, standouts include the lavender panko crusted scallops, sea bass, black truffle tagliolini (a bit under seasoned for my preference, but great truffle flavor), sorbetto di limone. And for my night cap they poured a generous 4 finger pour of 15 year scotch! Service was attentive, but not overbearing.

I cannot recommend this beautiful place enough... My Mum and I have been in Italy for three days so far and this is the first meal that has blown us away. Freshly cooked by mum & daughter!! ingredients were so delicious and perfectly paired. If you have a chance to eat here take it you will not be disappointed!!!!!

If you’re in Positano, I cannot recommend a place more for dinner. The homemade pasta with truffle was the best thing I’ve ever eaten, truly amazing food! The service was great and vibe was amazing as well. The homemade dessert was incredible as well. If I’m ever back this will be the first place I come for dinner! I don’t agree with the other reviews that they arrange a free transfer up to their spot we definitely paid a bit to get up and back but it was worth it!

My wife and I had a fabulous experience at the Donna Rosa restaurant. Wonderful food matched by the staff with beautiful wine. All members of the staff created a great ambience in the restaurant and from our table we were able to watch them prepare our food with a smile. If this wasn’t enough I managed to leave a bag under the dining table when we left for our hotel several miles away. We were not relishing the drive back in the morning to retrieve it. Magically, the people at the restaurant arranged for it to be returned to our hotel and it was there, beautifully packaged, when we went down to breakfast in the morning. All in all a fantastic experience, not to be missed. It was the highlight of a great holiday. Thank you Donna Rosa xx

Amazing, cozy Italian restaurant experience!

Incredible experience at Donna Rosa. Food, staff and ambiance were impeccable. Some of the best scallops we have had. A little bit outside of central Positano, but they arrange a free transfer up the hill. Do not skip this experience!

Best meal in Positano - and we ate at all the best places. If you are staying lower down - It is worth the cab fare there and back. When you arrive in Monterpertuso you walk through the local square into the restaurant and get transported to old world Italy. Family run (Mother & Daughter in the kitchen) father Enzo pouring the wine. This is a must if you are in the region for a few days - Simple, high quality ingredients but at a level of sophistication that makes the experience closer to fine dining than local food. Not one to take the kids. The restaurant does not have the view of other places - But instead you see into the kitchen (Which was better!) We had the eggplant Ravioli with tomato, Squid ink (black) and white Tagliatelle with seafood, Chicken Cacciatore, Grilled red snapper & spinach finished with Handmade Tiramisu and Cannoli. Enzo recommended a delicious wine from the region and the local Prosecco and Rose by the glass was fresh and generous. Could not recommend higher...
