Every time I go to Siena, I book at Michele's. I've been going there for five years now and have always had a great experience. I'll be down in Siena again in October and I'll book a table there. Excellent food, a large restaurant, suitable for large groups, polite staff, and Michele is a great character. The meat is truly excellent, as are the pasta dishes, a wide selection, and very tasty.
I recommend it.

It is a historic restaurant where we go periodically with a large group of friends. Both the fish and the meat are of the highest quality at ultra-affordable prices. The owner is very friendly and knows how to pamper you at the table. Highly recommended

The guy knows his grilled meat. We took the small t bone steak instead of the fiorentina and it was a decent enough sized portion for us. Tasted excellent. We also took a side of roasted potatoes, fries and vegetables. Roasted potatoes were ok, but zero seasoning and felt a bit on the softer side and smallish portion. Fries were like the ones you buy in the frozen section of the supermarket. Toasted vegetables were bland. Zero seasoning. Just a few slices of paprika, courgette, aubergine and a very bitter leafy thing which were thrown raw onto the grill.
Food came quick. Others have commented on the reasonable pricing, which is true for the pasta and pizza dishes but not for the grill. Chef came out and did rounds to the tables to ask if everything was OK. It was ok.

We had a homemade tagliatelli with fresh truffle, it was amazing! The Chef served it himself. The T-bone steak was cooked to the perfection. Kind waitress, good house wine and good prices.
