Very good food, phenomenal white wine and excellent service, I recommend!

I decided to try the daily menu for €16.50, which included a portion of lasagna, a breaded pork cutlet with French fries, and a drink. Since this restaurant is clearly aimed at tourists, I wasn't expecting an outstanding meal, but I did expect something decent and reasonably prepared. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The lasagna was by far the weakest part of the meal. It tasted like a very low-quality, mass-produced dish rather than something freshly made. It lacked flavor, the texture was poor, and it certainly wasn't what I expected to eat in Italy. The breaded pork cutlet wasn't any better. The meat was very fatty, and it had almost no flavor at all. It didn't even seem to have basic seasoning, as if no salt had been added. The French fries were equally disappointing. Both the fries and the cutlet arrived on the plate still covered in oil, literally shining from the fryer. It looked like they had been served immediately after frying without even taking a moment to drain the excess oil. I understand that restaurants in busy tourist areas often focus on serving large numbers of visitors, but that shouldn't be an excuse for such poor food quality. Even a simple daily menu can be enjoyable when prepared with fresh ingredients and a little attention to detail. For €16.50, I expected much better. There are many other restaurants in Venice offering similar prices with noticeably better food. Based on my experience, I honestly can't recommend this place.

It was incredibly delicious; I had the most delicious meal I've ever had in Venice, even in all of Italy. And the prices were incredibly good, cheap.

We finally found seats and sat down! Customers kept pouring in, and some were even standing and drinking inside. They also have pasta and other dishes, but since we had plans for the evening, we just had a light toast with cicchetti. I couldn't tell what was on the crostini... (lol) Maybe it was something like mantecato? The shrimp insaor was tangy and delicious! I think the base was polenta. The mozzarella fries were delicious with their stretchy cheese. I was glad they reheated them! We ordered two spritzes, and it came to €16 for two people.

Excellent value for money. We ate well.

The cicchetti are delicious, the rest is average.

In a city where restaurants seem designed exclusively to empty tourists' wallets, this place is a definite exception. The atmosphere is authentic, the service direct, and free of the scripted acting found elsewhere. The cicchetti are the strong point: authentic, well-executed, nothing contrived to seem typical. The spaghetti with squid ink respects the raw ingredients, with a distinct flavor and precise cooking. The house tiramisu rounds off well: classic, without unnecessary revisions. The lunch was overall a success, without flaws. One of those places you mark and revisit.
