Da Iseo In Portovenere

Portovenere is paradise on earth, we were in this enchanted place at the end of May 2025, on a warm, breezy and bright day. The sky and the sea blended into a single blue background and we were in love and happy, full of gratitude for this wonderful world. The sea is our home and we would like to return there, forever. If you say Portovenere, you say Iseo, a beautiful restaurant on the seafront where we rested our limbs after visiting the village and waiting for the sun on the beach. The place, very well-kept and clean, with attention to detail, with real cotton tablecloths, flowers on the tables (calle)

I recommend the shrimp carpaccio and the grilled fish

Location con bella vista sul mare. Gustato cozze alla marinara, acciughe e trofie al pesto. Tutti buoni. Un po’ meno valido il servizio: il vino scelto, l’unico Pigato in lista, non c’era, abbiamo chiesto un po’ di limone, mai arrivato. Migliorabile.

We were sitting on the inside and they first we can pick wherever. Once we got our beverage and bread, we were told we needed to move because they need our table for another group of customers. Food wise was ok, we ordered ravioli al ragù and their house seafood pasta. The extra bread they offered never came. We asked rum and coke. They said no. So we asked can we have a can of coke and a glass or rum then it was ok. All in all, we wouldn’t recommend the place. The bill took 2 person and forever.

I went there for the first time for lunch on the 25th with two friends. I start from the assumption that the waiter who served us seated us without us having booked. We ordered trofie with pesto, spaghetti with seafood and ravioli filled with fish with fish sauce, a slice of beef, seared tuna with caramelized red onion and a slice of meat, all accompanied by a bottle of local white wine; finally two sorbets and three coffees. We were well served and each dish was well presented and well cooked, the flavors were well linked. The restaurant is a few meters from the Portovenere marina so the sea is the protagonist. Adequate quality/price ratio. A negative note is that the type of cooking of the meat was not asked but given the excessive crowding, it could be allowed.

I went to Iseo for lunch today with my family. I want to thank you for the welcome, the courtesy and for the excellent fish. I hope to return soon

I highly recommend everyone to go to this place. Excellent choice of fresh fish and a much appreciated dish. Moderate prices.

Food was excellent. THe mussels, the pasta, the calamari, really nicely done. The service was a bit strange, only some of the waiters can take orders, but its typical in Italy. overall a great and surprising dining experience. With a really nice view and a nice escape from the rain outside.

Ci siamo fermati qui per pranzo una domenica, il locale affaccia sulla piazzetta direttamente sul mare, ma la giornata ci ha costretto a sederci all’interno. Locale molto affollato è un po’ rumoroso ma comunque l’accoglienza è stata gentile e disponibile. Servizio abbastanza rapido cibo nella norma,il punto forte è sicuramente la location, pochi metri dal mare.
