Da Gemma In

We ordered a thick fillet steak that came with a delicious mashed potato, drizzled with onion and mushroom sauce. They had a good wine list and a wonderful mille-feuille dessert, very well made and decorated. We didn't have a reservation and were very well received. We were given an appetizer and other complimentary items. The price was fair for the quality of the dishes and the attentive service. We will return.

Writing a review isn't easy, whether good or bad, but I think it's right because in both cases, there's only room for improvement. Today I had lunch with my wife, I think it was the fifth time so far. This time, I was a little disappointed to see how a fine dining establishment, unlike the many others in Amalfi, has transformed into a tourist restaurant (if I think about the three versions of mozzarella that used to be available), I'm frankly disappointed by what they offered today (a very soft fiord di latte knot on a bed of tomato salad). The shrimp risotto isn't the same. Again, I hate to be critical, but anyone who goes to Gemma in Amalfi is aware of their budget and the pleasure of the palate at a top restaurant. The service was attentive, friendly, and above all, very professional.

The food was plentiful and yet, light. Wonderful experience.

Extremely good food and very very good service can't recommend enough

A delightful dinner... the staff were professional (an increasingly rare occurrence in the industry) and courteous. The fish soup was very good and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was quiet and very pleasant. Recommended.

We booked Da Gemma for our anniversary. We were told we had a special table. This was next to a very big group with children. When we asked if we could switch tables we were told yes but it felt like a chore. However the food and wine were delicious and they even catered for gluten free.

By far the best restaurant in Amalfi, although I must point out that the experience in the cantina was superior.

The food was good, just the L’Uovo antipasti was not as expected. The service was nice and passionate and the atmosphere is very cozy with warmers and a nice view on the street. Overall a nice place to have dinner
