I visited them today. The staff were always helpful and cheerful, which is rare these days. The food was excellent, from appetizers to main courses, everything was perfect. Congratulations. We'll definitely be back.

Tonight we dined at this restaurant in Pietrelcina. It was our first time there. I had booked well in advance because, as everyone knows, it's best to do so on a Saturday, and I have to say, everything was perfect. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted very kindly and seated right away. The restaurant is entirely made of stone, very welcoming, tastefully decorated, and they even have a stunning wine cellar. It's a family-run business, and they're truly wonderful and professional people who immediately put everyone at ease. Antonio served us, and not only was he very friendly but also knew how to recommend what to eat. We ordered fusilli with tomato sauce and sausage, but before they arrived, he delighted us with a taste of rustic focaccia, which practically disappeared immediately. The fusilli were delicious; the ingredients were excellent, cooked to perfection. The portions were so generous that we only ordered a Chianina burger and fries afterwards... What can I say: top-quality meat, cooked to perfection. All washed down with two glasses of Aglianico! Dessert was also included: hazelnut and coconut truffle and nougat dessert. To finish, a bitter liqueur and a grappa. We were very satisfied; they deserve a solid 10 out of 10! Five stars is not enough. If you find yourself in Pietrelcina, go there; it's worth it!

Today, a very special day, Easter, some friends and I decided to spend Easter lunch at this trattoria. The service was excellent, the food was tasty and typical of the area, hearty meat dishes, and the hospitality was warm. Thanks to the staff and the owners, who are genuine people. We stopped by chance, passing through Pietrelcina, and were truly impressed. At C'era una volta, we found exceptional food: freshly delivered buffalo mozzarella, top-quality meat, and a creamy pastiera with a simply indescribable flavor. An experience definitely worth repeating.

Everything was accompanied by an excellent wine from their cellar, which deserves a special mention: it's truly extensive and packed with labels, capable of satisfying every taste and showcasing the dishes to perfection. A place where you eat well, drink well, and above all, feel welcomed. If you're passing through Pietrelcina, stopping here is almost a must. Highly recommended!

We hadn't been there for a couple of years, we gladly returned and were happy with the quality products, the courteous staff, Angelo is a nice guy as always and we felt like we were part of the family, which is very important in these times, we definitely want to go back.

A truly lovely, homely trattoria. I had excellent pan-fried fusilli, the tapered ones with ragù were truly delicious, the meat was excellent... an excellent pork sausage, and a side salad and cherry tomatoes!! Everything was delicious, practically homemade!! Recommended!!!
