The cafe in Matera had a great local atmosphere. The atmosphere was very pleasant, authentic and we felt very comfortable there. The coffee was excellent and the service was nice and helpful. It is an ideal place to take a short break and enjoy the real Italian atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting.

Excellent food. Impeccable and attentive service. I went in winter; in spring, it must be even more beautiful with the tables outside. The Sassi setting is also fantastic.

Easy to reach on foot, being at the entrance to the Sassi, this rustic and welcoming place, despite its small size, is homely. The ladies are friendly and approachable.
Despite the limited selection of dishes available, both the appetizers and the first courses were particularly good.
My girlfriend really enjoyed the intimate Valentine's Day dinner. I recommend it!

We unexpectedly stumbled upon a REALLY great place! The service was great; friendly and spoke good English. They pointed us towards a delicious dessert made with local ingredients! You could taste the freshly made pasta, and the beef was so tender you could just suck it down! We started with bean puree with fresh endive and grilled cheese.

A simple and welcoming bistro in the Sassi district with a simple menu, ideal for savoring traditional Lucanian dishes.
The bruschetta "giù a sud" and the grilled caciocavallo were very good. We also tried fava beans and chicory and the flavorful and well-cooked pork shank. Everything was accompanied by the delicious Matera bread, always present at the table.
The desserts are not to be missed; we tried the torta della nonna and their tiramisu laced with Amaro Lucano.
