Not only is the food delicious, but the service is also top-notch. I think I'll say it all when I say that my sister almost cried when she tried her tiramisu because it was so good. Everything was spectacular, thank you so much!

An explosion of flavors and sophistication go hand in hand in an elegant and tasteful setting. The three brothers are the heart, soul, and mind behind this establishment. A wonderful address. This restaurant, run by three brothers, will introduce you to inventive cuisine that retains the DNA of local tradition. Shellfish and raw fish are particularly well-preserved. The wine pairing is interesting. The service lives up to this fine cuisine. A well-deserved star.

abbiamo avuto il piacere di degustare il percorso “casa sgarra” e le ns aspettative sono state soddisfatte. è stato tutto indimenticabile, ma alcuni piatti meritano la cotazione. l’insalata da amare e il cicchetto dai sapori di puglia sono delle esperienze sensoriali, mentre il risotto trani milano è un gran piatto davvero ben eseguito. location e servizio poi, sono decisamente all’altezza di tutto il resto. approved!

Recensisco ancora una volta questo ristorante, a rischio di ripetermi. I loro piatti tradizionali, come l'insalata d'amare sono una certezza. Le loro innovazioni, tipo i bottoni ai porcini e amaretto sono una magnifica sorpresa. E' tutto perfetto, dal servizio all'ambiente, alla simpatia dei Fratelli Sgarra. Un'esperienza imperdibile. Felice meriterebbe 20 stelle!!!

Al Vecchio Forno

24/08/2025: We've been wanting to go to Al Vecchio Forno for a while, and we finally made it during our short stay in Barletta. The location is elegant and welcoming. The entire staff was professional and friendly. We had one appetizer and two main courses, both very good and high-quality. The homemade desserts were also fabulous. We'll be back soon.
22/08/2025: What can I say? If you come to Vecchio Forno, you can't help but be satisfied. We had a table for 13 and opted for the menu, which is truly extensive and of high quality. Our compliments to the truly neat and clean location, to Carmine, the young chef who delighted us with his dishes, to Angelo and the entire ownership, who do truly excellent work, and last but not least to Gianfranco, the well-trained, smiling, and always available waiter. Highly recommended. We will obviously be back!
