In one word — perfect. A well deserved Michelin star, in some parts of the world with such care there would definitely be two. Humility, incredible food and top-notch service are their signature. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable dinner, we wish you good luck and hope to see you again.

Posto del cuore. Già dal primo approccio telefonico puoi capire il livello di questo ristorante. Appena arrivati accoglienza super calorosa, e eleganza massimo del locale. Piatti buonissimi, spiegati sapientemente e con passione da parte dei 3 fratelli che hanno fondato questo ristorante. Esperienza costosa, ma la qualità e le loro "coccole" vanno pagate dato che meritano ogni singolo euro. Ci tornerò.

Casa Sgarra, Trani: A culinary experience. Yesterday, my wife and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Casa Sgarra with a friend and I must say it was a truly memorable experience. The restaurant, located on the seafront of Trani, in a slightly secluded position from the port area, offers an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for special occasions. The staff was extremely attentive and courteous, making us feel at ease straight away. Each dish was a true work of art, prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. We particularly appreciated the appetizers and first courses (scampi tube with black chickpea cream and potato cloud) rich in flavor and creativity, without forgetting the main courses (lobster in cooking oil), the desserts, a perfect combination of tradition and innovation ( dismissed). All seasoned with a series of very welcome "cuddles". Also worth mentioning is a special seasonal menu based on Alba truffles which we did not use but we pleasantly smelled them. The wine list is extensive and well curated, with an excellent selection of national and international labels with a truly impressive number of "bubbles". In conclusion, Casa Sgarra is a restaurant that I highly recommend to all lovers of good food. A place where the passion and skill of the chef, combined with the warm welcome, make this place a small jewel of Apulian gastronomy.

Da tempo avevamo appuntato Casa Sgarra e l'occasione è stata un mesetto dopo la cena dall'altro stellato di Putignano. Ottima gestione sia della fase di prenotazione telefonica che della accoglienza, calda e informale quanto basta. Ambienti ampi, ben illuminati senza atmosfere "notturne" come alcuni pensano di dover offrire avendo la Michelin. Servizio molto premuroso, a tratti troppo tanto da interrompere più volte la conversazione. Un paio di dimenticanze, meno perdonabili in uno stellato, da parte sia di uno dei titolari in sala, che in altro caso della addetta al servizio. Fortuna vuole che la sera della nostra prenotazione fosse disponibile il tartufo bianco d'Alba, certificato, con tanto di documentazione portata al tavolo con bilancino, scatola contenitore in legno e tutto quanto fa sostanza ma anche fumo. Non potevamo rinunciarci, anche in considerazione della importante esperienza piemontese dello Chef Sgarra in cucina, mista alle coccole degli Sgarra in sala. Come menù scegliamo la degustazione e apprezziamo la grande flessibilità, per uno stellato, nella disponibilità a cambiare qualche piatto. Inseriamo in aggiunta anche il tartufo (ne pesiamo al tavolo uno di 21 grammi) che accompagnerà i capelli d'angelo (se ricordo bene il nome). Quasi tutti i piatti sono all'altezza di una stella M. ma alcuni appena al di sotto delle aspettative. In particolare la pasta al tartufo delude un pochino, proprio in considerazione della esperienza dello Chef in Piemonte che dovrebbe garantire l'esaltazione del piatto che invece perde non poco al naso. Esperienza comunque da fare se si ama la ricerca e qualità in cucina e non si guarda al costo, che nel nostro caso, inclusa la bottiglia di Colterenzio, si attesterà poco sotto i 550€ in due. Bravi comunque, perchè nonostante le piccole critiche che ad uno stellato sono d'obbligo se non risponde a tutte le aspettative, è stata una piacevolissima esperienza che rifaremmo. Casa Sgarra ha ampi margini per crescere ancora e rappresentare un punto di riferimento importante nel Nord Barese. Ritorneremo tra un annetto sicuri di ulteriormente migliorare il piacere della cena.

A 360° experience, from the moment you cross the threshold of the door the Sgarra family welcomes you with all the warmth possible, courtesy, attention to every little detail ensure that this starred hotel is not easily forgotten. Warm and welcoming location with turquoise walls which I found very relaxing and enveloping, superlative dishes, I don't have the ability to describe them properly so I invite you to try it for yourself. It's a bit pointless to talk about costs, but just know that they are calibrated to the experience and quality given. Congratulations, I'll be back.
