Nice place in the Brera neighborhood. Honestly, the appetizers didn't meet my expectations, especially the truffle tartare (flavorless meat) and the carpaccio (the latter is nothing more than a sort of bresaola/speck with a sauce). Milanese risotto, let's say, lacked a bit of flavor, while the meat was very good. The service was quite good. The price was average for the city, so high.

A truly rewarding experience: dishes crafted with meticulous attention to detail, impeccable flavors, and an attentive and friendly staff that contributes to an even more pleasant atmosphere. In a place so attentive to quality and aesthetics, I would also have expected bread to match the rest of the offerings. A small detail that, if improved, would make the experience simply perfect.

Ristorante del Capitano doesn't disappoint! The food, service, and atmosphere are worthy of a Triplet! 5 stars! Truly excellent meat and generous side dishes. The olive oil and bread served with it was delicious.

Bellissimo ristorante, personale molto gentile e professionale. Il cibo è eccellente, ci sono stata già altre volte, è il mio ristorante preferito ogni volta che vado a Milano. Mitico il manager, sempre gentilissimo e premuroso, ci ha fatto sentire ospiti graditi e “coccolati”

04/10/2025: I've been wanting to try this historic Milanese restaurant for a long time, and today I finally had the chance. It's located in a truly picturesque location, right behind the Darsena, in Piazzale Cantore. The atmosphere is unique: elegant without being overly formal, with attentive service and meticulous attention to detail. The fish is incredibly fresh. I started with a raw fish dish that to call excellent is an understatement, then moved on to a dish that literally won me over: tagliolini with sea urchins and zucchini flowers, simply unforgettable—I've never eaten anything so good, I swear! I finished with a light, fragrant, and dry fried fish dish, unlike anything you've rarely tasted. An experience I'd repeat without hesitation. The price? Sure, you pay for quality... but here, you really do it with pleasure.
