Nice place to have dinner with friends and family. It is an authentic Italian restaurant and does not open at night. Be prepared to queue and wait after you order!

From Padua, after careful research and thanks to information from other guests, we chose this spot for our tourist lunch in the splendid city of Trieste! What can I say...we felt right at home! Good food, simple and welcoming atmosphere, with a focus on recycling the materials used daily, no wasted paper, and a simple and original menu. All that remains is to thank those who work in the dining room, but also those behind that brown wooden door with the curtain in the kitchen. Thank you, and always maintain the simplicity and quality, something that is slowly disappearing!!!

This place is a great example why Italian gastromony is considered one of the best in the world. Absolutely lovely environment, great food, fair prices. Reservation is recommended, as the place is not very large.

The best food I’ve had in Trieste. The owner and waitress are the friendliest people I’ve met. Pity it’s only open for lunch on weekdays!

23/06/2025: We were there for the start of the evening at 7 p.m. We had called a few days in advance to make a reservation, which I think was absolutely sensible. The restaurant has limited seating and exudes a very intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The food, the hospitality, the service, and the restaurant itself were all absolutely first-class. It was a wonderful evening, and we would have loved to try everything on the menu. All the dishes we chose were absolutely fantastic. For us, it's an absolute insider tip when in Trieste.
22/06/2025: A real insider tip! The restaurant is small, very cozy, and lovingly decorated – you immediately feel at home. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. He sat down with us like a good friend and patiently translated the Italian menu for us – something you rarely experience! The wine was excellent, and the food was a dream: authentic fish dishes and other regional specialties, prepared with love and absolutely delicious. If you want to enjoy authentic, regional cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back!
