My boyfriend and I decided on Sunday morning to go eat at this place recommended by friends. Luckily, there was a free table!
Excellent wine, delicious tortelli. The location was beautiful, but we were placed in a room with two tables, both of which were very noisy. This was especially disappointing. I would have preferred a more relaxing Sunday lunch. I don't know if I'll go back.

I discovered this restaurant in the Michelin Guide, thanks to the fact that it's one of the establishments worthy of the Bibendum Award, the best value for money. The restaurant exudes history, and the interior rooms feel like a dive into a 1970s trattoria, even though the paintings and art objects form a very elegant combination.
The menu seems to reflect the location, halfway between pure tradition and the creativity of chef Censi. You can't miss the caramelized eggplant parmigiana (an explicit homage to Oldani) because it's a play on textures, hot and cold, which in the mouth truly brings to mind the flavor of my grandmother's super-flavorful parmigiana.
The other first courses I tried were delicious and balanced; I must say they were more delicious than beautiful, which is no small feat considering the attention to detail.
For main courses, I wanted to try the stuffed tip, a great classic from Parmesan, and the rib eye steak, which resembles a low-temperature roast with the meat's base. As always, when technique is applied, it's so tasty it steals the show from the meat itself. The fig and chocolate cake was also delicious.
The service was friendly and never intrusive, and the seemingly regular customers were very friendly, creating a family atmosphere. The prices were very fair. My girlfriend and I ordered six dishes, a glass of wine, a water, and a coffee, and we spent a more than deserved €88.

We were in Parma for work and were looking for a place to sample the city's traditional dishes. We were impressed by this trattoria, which successfully combined its simplicity with refined and elegant service. The food was superb, all handmade and with attention to the smallest details.
The quality/price ratio was also excellent.

Perhaps I had too many expectations for this place, which was widely praised...but unfortunately, nothing spectacular...the food was adequate, nothing more...places that are definitely better than this and less highly rated deserve more because the food is better.
The restaurant has a classic, rustic style, but it's that very anonymous rustic style...
The prices are too high for the food offered; the fried cake was soft and not very crumbly, the cured meats were average.
The only dish I really liked were the tortelli di erbetta, which were very good, and earned this place a passing grade.
For the main courses, however, I ordered the veal tip, which was really bland and tasted like nothing at all.
The service was quick but a bit unfriendly...so please give them a half-smile!
In short, overall, in my personal opinion, the restaurant is a no-go...there are places on the outskirts of Parma where you can eat much better for these prices.
I don't think I'll ever return, and I'm disappointed given the many positive reviews I've heard.

Trattoria with excellent food and service. Too bad the rooms aren't soundproofed and it's hard to hear the person sitting across from you!!!
