Lucca's undiscovered gem. A top-notch chef. His charming multi-lingual wife who flawlessly runs the front of the house. And a seafood-centric menu that always delights and surprises. This is our top choice for a delicious meal and has been for years of visits to Lucca. Don't miss this experience!

Say son in law, daughter and I were there in Lucca for 2 weeks in April and discovered Pier 21 very close to where we were staying. This restaurant far exceeded expectations. I can’t say enough nice things about Pier 21. The ambiance was lovely and relaxed, the food was the best we had in Lucca and the lovely couple who own it, have thought of everything to make everything memorable. A great meal, a great wine list, and soft lighting. We loved Lucca, and cannot wait to go back and we will be sure to visit Pier 21 again!

Superb food; fantastic, knowledgable hosts. We have eaten in quite a few restaurants around the world, and this is definitely up there in our favourites. The only seafood restaurant we have found in Tuscany. But it works, believe me! Thank you so much.

Italian cuisine revisited in "fusion" mode with delicate flavors. Efficient and very pleasant service, without any waiting, with a perfect 2022 Chianti red wine by the glass! Highly recommended if you are passing through Lucca

Très bon rapport qualité prix! Propose des formules différentes à prix très raisonnable. Des mélanges de saveur et parfum avec des produits de très bonnes qualités. Vraiment nous avons tous apprécié dans un cadre intimiste avec un service de qualité et souriant.

Petit restaurant intime et moderne, Les prix sont élevés par rapport à la quantité, c’est le problème majeur. ça reste très bon.

20/10/2025: Great sandwich very simple and traditional but the pesto spread made mine outstanding. The husband and wife running the place were friendly and made a point to explain how they were honoring traditional food using local ingredients which made this even more special.
19/10/2025: Best sandwiches i have ever had. To be honest, they aren't anything special on surface, but on the first bite you can tell that only best ingredients are used on them and the combination and filling is really thought out. Owners speak good english and are oh so friendly. place inside is tiny, only like 6 seats, but these are best to have on the go. It's the perfect pitstop for hungry.
