Opinions are always and necessarily personal, the result of experiences and often also of contingencies. But what you will find in any case in this place is an authentic and ancient capacity for attention and benevolence towards those who cross that threshold and who, in addition to good food, also want to feel good and spend some peaceful time. All this is possible at the Cenacolo, I happened to go there twice, both when it was crowded and when there were only a few of us, the kindness and availability of those who served us was the same. For my wife, who is a lover of raw fish, a more than positive experience, for me also seeing her happy and at ease. Quite an honest account when compared to the fish restaurants you can frequent around and raw materials processed with care. A nice discovery for us, a stone's throw from home.

Siamo stati con amici per la cena del 1° Gennaio, eravamo in 10, esperienza molto positiva. Tutto è stato impeccabile. Bel locale, ottima qualità di tutti i piatti che abbiamo ordinato. Sono specializzati soprattutto nel pesce, ma hanno anche piatti di carne. Il servizio ugualmente ottimo, ci hanno offerto all'inizio un bicchiere di prosecco con qualche focaccina, in attesa di ordinare. Ampia scelta di vini, di tutti i prezzi. Anche il conto è stato una piacevole sorpresa. Noi siamo un gruppo di amici di Milano e senz'altro ci torneremo se passeremo di nuovo da Modena.

We had dinner in this restaurant with a fish-based menu. All courses were of excellent quality. Fast and accurate service. Prices more than honest. At the end of the dinner we ladies were honored with a rose.

We had dinner last night and ate exclusively fish-based appetizers and first courses. We were welcomed with an aperitif and two types of focaccias, and then moved on to the ordered dishes. Which was the best? None, because they were all excellent from every point of view, making it impossible to determine which was the best!!! Everything was well cooked and balanced, the quality of the fish used was correct and everything was well dosed. It will become one of our reference restaurants when we are in Modena; we will include it in the very small number of places we have been frequenting for 3 years now. These are the dishes eaten: octopus on potato pie, hot and cold appetizers, symphony of the sea (seafood salad and marinated products), Gragnano linguine with seafood, Positano scialatielli. For dessert I had an excellent tiramisu as rarely happens.
Really high quality/price ratio, i.e. compared to normal prices the quality was not only satisfactory but truly excellent and satisfying. Very, very good!

The place is fully confirmed, excellent quality and correct prices. With the inevitable rose given to the ladies at the end of the meal.

Tuve la tentación de decir que esta fue mi mejor comida en Italia, pero mi esposa y yo hemos estado en Italia muchas veces; hay mucha competencia.
Estábamos buscando un lugar con mariscos en Módena, y había unas 20 opciones; un lugar caminamos y luego no pudimos encontrarlo de nuevo. Escogimos al cenacolo, cerca del palazzo dei musei. Mi esposa tenía una pasta con mariscos mezclados, y salió suficiente para dos personas... parte de ella está en la nevera ahora. Pedí una comida fija, 4 platos, pero eran más como 5 platos. Una ensalada de mariscos fue seguida de almejas al vapor y mejillones (excelente) , luego había una pasta muy delicada con pequeños trozos de lubina (no pude terminarla). Pensé que tal vez había terminado, pero salió el final, un plato de varios artículos a la parrilla; langostinos, camarones y dos tipos de pescado. Todo impresionante.
Salió un vino dulce de postre y andx, y tuve un expreso para ponerle un "punto" al proceso.
El restaurante nos dio un aperitivo gratis, además de otra copa de prosecco gratis, y trajo una rosa para la señora en la mesa.
La clientela era mayoritariamente local.
La factura llegó a 73 euros. ¡Qué valor!
La mejor comida de este viaje hasta ahora.
