22/06/2025: On our way back from a seaside holiday we decide to visit the beautiful town of Montagnana which is part of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. When it’s time for lunch, passing under the arcades in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, our eye falls on Le delizie di GiaLau (where the name stands for the initials of the two owners, husband and wife Gianni in the dining room and Laura in the kitchen). It is a delicatessen that sells top quality products from all over Italy including the very famous Veneto DOP raw ham. Here you can find the one from the Doniolo ham factory exclusively. Inside there is a tasting room that allows you to choose, in addition to the à la carte menu, two menu proposals which consist of an appetizer with early meats, cheeses and a first or second course. In addition to water, wine and cover charge.
The quality of the dishes was surprising and they were described with great passion by Mr. Gianni who shows how much passion he puts into his work and pampers you by describing the warm bread of Altamura or bringing you a warm slice of focaccia.
If you come to Montagna and want to have a high-level culinary experience, Le Delizie di GiaLau is an absolute must-try.
The quality-price ratio is extraordinary

22/06/2025: At the suggestion of our daughter who has a 'good nose' for gastronomy we allowed ourselves a lunch here after visiting the spectacular.
Montagnana. We took the tasting menu for 27 euros each. Highly recommended.
- entrance with tasting of Veneto ham (a discovery, sweet and fragrant) with a side dish of beans and cataloga cooked and seasoned, side dish: focaccia with Veneto ham still warm.
- Pasta (bigoli) excellent, consistent but not too much.
- dish: Bigoli alla Montagnana excellent with pesto and Veneto ham.
Water, wine and coffee.
Good service and done with courtesy and friendliness.
Nice shop-style environment.
Worth trying.

18/06/2025: We had a beer that then necessarily resulted in 2 plates of splendid cured meats, raw ham and lard number one! The service is vitalized and managed with mastery by Michele who combines professionalism and magnetic sympathy! Well done, we would have liked to have had time to try the restaurant but since we are passing through we have to wait for the next visit to Montagna. Well done! Thanks Michele!

24/04/2025: Direi che è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Servizio professionale e cortese, ma le portate hanno fatto centro! Moglie e figlia altrettanto soddisfatte. Arrosto e patate e bigoli per il sottoscritto, spaghetti alla verdi per mia moglie. Mia figlia le erbette e la cartelletta. Corollario di pane ed altro come entrata e qualche pizzico di dolci per addolcire il caffè e l'orzo. Poco più di un ora da casa. Da ripetere assolutamente. PS Montagnana merita comunque di essere vista!
14/04/2025: Best Restaurant in Montagnana. Best, impeccable, 5 STARS service. Best food ever, highly recommended. We had a truffle asparagus risotto..just divine. Mare monti delicious starter and a lot of complementary types of freshly baked home made bread and focaccia samples, plus LOCAL EXTRA sample of desserts. We felt like we had. MICHELIN STAR Experience. We traveled over one hour just to get there because we heard of the excellent reviews..we totally confirm them. Just go there and let yourself be pampered to their delicious food, excellent choice of wine and extra sample. Then..have a Stroll in Montagnana, this UNESCO Medieval walled City..it is definitely worth it. 5 stars

07/04/2025: The quality of the food is truly at excellent levels with surprisingly honest prices.
We took cheeses and cold cuts, all of excellent quality.
The service at the counter was impeccable with very competent, helpful and friendly staff.
Even at the checkout the clerk is very kind.
We will definitely be back soon even if we are from Pavia... because it's worth it. Highly recommended,

23/05/2025: It is not a restaurant obviously but if you want to eat something "practical" and enjoy a short break without rushing it is the ideal place. A bit of everything; some first courses, piadinas, spianate, bruschetta, chips, toasts, etc ... and the outdoor area has a beautiful view of the square, inside there are other places, not many, on two levels. Steps so not suitable for disabled people. Courteous staff ... and that's no small thing.
10/05/2025: Hospitable staff and comfortable environment.
Situated in an enviable position, this bar looks directly onto the town square. I had dinner while watching the life of the town go by peacefully.
The restaurant, located on different floors, offers everyone the opportunity to stop also on the characteristic lower floor.
It also looks great for an aperitif at sunset. I will go back, preferably on a sunny day.
