06/11/2025: A wonderfully rustic dining room with authentic food and great service. The food was absolutely fantastic. Spare ribs with coleslaw and a trio of dumplings: divine. Although the chestnut tiramisu didn't live up to its name and didn't really taste like the aforementioned nut, it still gets 5 out of 5 chestnuts!
31/10/2025: The food was delicious. The portions were good and large (I recommend sharing the spare ribs with someone ;)). The restaurant itself was also very cozy.

05/10/2025: A very beautiful spot with a fantastic view. The service was absolutely excellent. Typical alpine fare. Tasty and reasonably priced.

17/02/2026: Waalrast is always our first stop when we arrive in Lana for our beloved South Tyrol holidays. I've known this restaurant since 2006, and even as a little boy, I was captivated by the stunning view.
The food is very traditional and delicious.
You can also enjoy Waalrast as a rest stop after admiring the adjacent Brandis Waalweg trail with its beautiful location and breathtaking views.
It's simply a must-visit for us on every South Tyrol holiday, and a visit always brings back wonderful memories.
The staff are very friendly and attentive.

The restaurant has a strict "No Dogs Policy"—even small dogs in carriers are not permitted inside. This is important information for dog owners to know in advance to avoid disappointment at the door. Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. While the pumpkin soup was visually appealing, the beetroot risotto lacked finesse and seasoning/freshness. Overall, the food was decent. Service and ambiance were friendly and clean, but there is still room for improvement in the kitchen.

21/02/2026: A pleasant establishment with fast, friendly service and very good pizza.
11/02/2026: The pizzas we ate were awful. Raw pizzas, three pieces of ham, and low-quality ingredients. It's not the first time friends have taken me to Liesy, but we all felt terrible, so it will be the last time.

01/07/2024: Leider war dieser Besuch unser Abschied vom Oberwirt, bzw. dem OW Lana. Das OW Lana war über viele Jahre während unserer Wanderurlaube unser Lieblingsrestaurant, das wir meist 3...4x besuchten, wenn wir eine Woche in Lana verbrachten. Traudi und Renato bewirteten uns immer hervorragen und auch die Angestellten waren überaus freundlich und nett. Und das Essen war ohnehin immer toll - und das in diesem wunderschönen Ambiente!
Leider hat das OW Lana nun seine Türen für immer geschlossen, was wir sehr bedauern. Wir wünschen Traudi und Renato daher für die Zukunft das Beste und hoffen, dass es Euch gut ergeht!

11/08/2024: Tavoli vuoti ma se non parli tedesco (siamo in Italia) ti portano ad un tavolo dietro l'angolo. Entrati Uscìti, meglio così perché a nemmeno cento metri abbiamo trovato un ristorante elegante ma molto bello e pulito. Ho detto tutto. Prima ed ultima esperienza
27/07/2024: Meerdere keren per week geweest vanaf de camping. Werkelijk alles is goed. Vriendelijk personeel en uitgebreide kaart. Dagelijks iets nieuws.
