06/09/2025: We rented an apartment right next to this pastry shop, so it was the first place we went in Taormina. We tried everything: pastries, cannoli, gelato, cream puffs, granitas...all wonderfully delicious. The place is charming and very quaint, prices are perhaps a little above average, but in line with the general cost insanity that reigns in Taormina. My only complaint is that it's September, so we're coming off the summer heat, the hard work, etc. But a few more smiles wouldn't hurt.

05/09/2025: The Best Cannoli in Taormina You have to go to Roberto's because it's the pastry shop specializing in cannoli, made fresh daily and made to order. It's become a Taormina institution. It's 100% fresh, unlike other pastry shops, which are often prepared industrially. On the first day, we met Mr. Roberto during our first tasting and immediately struck up a very friendly relationship with the owner. It should also be said that in late August and early September, there are far fewer tourists and there are almost no lines. (During high season, be patient in the sun because it's worth it.) Mr. Roberto was very kind, taking the time to carefully explain to us all the work that goes into preparing this iconic Sicilian dessert. We were able to see him at work every morning, as it was our ritual after a good coffee. He also produces various dry biscuits and nougats, all of which are excellent. On our last morning, we made sure to stop by to say hello to Mr. Roberto and enjoy one last treat before our departure. Knowing the day before that we were leaving, he welcomed us with a big smile and two cannoli as a thank you gift for our daily visits. We left with 2 kg of pistachio and hazelnut nougat and the memory of a wonderful encounter with a wonderful person. I'm already looking forward to seeing him again on my next trip to Sicily. Un saluto Sig. Roberto. Grazie e ci vediamo presto.

02/09/2025: We had the Sicilian Camilo with ricotta and pistachio. It was spectacular, one of the best I've had in Sicily. The service was fantastic and very entertaining. A must-try in Taormina.

07/09/2025: Dream pizza in Taormina: Villa Zuccaro, a delicious discovery! I discovered a true slice of gastronomic paradise: Villa Zuccaro. A fantastic pizzeria where I tasted one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The atmosphere is magical: you're immersed in a well-kept garden, far from the chaos of the main street, with soft lighting that makes everything very intimate and romantic. The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful, and immediately put us at ease. And then, the pizza. Man, it's delicious! The dough is light and easy to digest, the toppings are fresh and high-quality, and it's perfectly cooked. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. In addition to the excellent pizza, we also enjoyed the vast selection of craft beers and the wide selection of local wines. The value for money, considering the location and the quality of the food, is absolutely fair. In short, if you're looking for a place in Taormina to eat excellent pizza in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, Villa Zuccaro is the perfect choice. A culinary experience I highly recommend!

07/09/2025: A famous pizzeria in Taormina, offering a wide selection of pizzas. Unfortunately, even at this restaurant, which is owned by the same company as 5 other restaurants in town, the service leaves much to be desired. The waiters, presumably seasonal, are inexperienced and show little desire to be professional and courteous. As for the quality of the food, the pizzas were truly well-cooked and had just the right amount of ingredients. A poor rating, however, goes to the Villa Zuccaro salad, of which I've attached a photo. It was prepared with no attention to detail and in a haphazard manner, to say the least, full of liquid likely from undrained corn and mozzarella, and with a few pieces of tomato coming from the ends, making them inedible. When we complained, the waiter responded with a mocking laugh, which we couldn't tell whether it was directed at the chef or at us. Finally, the placemats are eco-friendly and give off a truly awful odor that is unbecoming of a dining establishment. When we pointed this out, the waiter replied that these placemats need to be used and we'll have to wait for them to run out. A different response would have been more appropriate, such as simply removing them entirely from the table. When it came time to pay, the manager was very polite and kind, removing the salad from the bill and apologizing for the unexpected. Without taking anything away from the quality of the food and pizzas, which I've eaten at this establishment several times, what I've seen over the years is unfortunately a way of living off the splendid location in Taormina, with little attention to the quality of service that is unfortunately essential in establishments like this. Frequented not only by tourists but also by locals who expect the most friendly and welcoming treatment possible.

06/09/2025: I'd say it's more of a quick aperitif, but it's really good. It's a rather light cocktail in my opinion, but not by much.

04/09/2025: My partner and I visited this restaurant three times within our first 24 hours in the city, everything from the food to the service was impeccable. Everything was brilliantly priced and you cannot beat the location. This place has become a special memory for us both.

03/09/2025: Definitely the cheapest restaurant, café, and bar with a sea view in all of Taormina. And the Prometheus Black craft beer is pure wonder. Guinness is out of date!

25/08/2025: We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. We tasted lasagna, bruschetta, burrata and sea salad and they were all lovely. The portion sizes were quite satisfying and taste was really good. The only negative would be counted as the comfort of the chairs. You are not able to lay back and sit comfortably. Thus we had to leave after we finished our meal. Maybe good for the restaurant but a little dissappointment for us

23/08/2025: Very charming, in a quiet alley, served with kindness and modesty. The classic cuisine was absolutely delicious and masterfully executed. Fair and reasonable prices. The lasagna was perfect. I have fond memories of this experience. Thank you very much.

31/08/2025: Although it is in the very touristy central area (like all of Traumana), the place is very nice, good cocktails, and light food, the bruschetta is excellent, and very good Sicilian small dishes. Recommended for a light meal or aperitif
